As far as cars go, the French are beginning to hit the spot

Yea, French and Korean are really nailing it now and catching up with the Chinese. German, Italian and US still miles behind.

I fully agree! I think with the EV’s they stand a great chance of making their mark🙌🏿

@@WolfetoneRebel1916😂😂😂 French cars are nowhere near the quality and reliability of Japanese and Korean cars.

@@markgt894was watching a video about the most unreliable cars 2023. It changes quite a lot over time. Korean are good, and Japanese mostly. But the French are in the pack and ahead of plenty of German cars now

I’m liking the new Renault 5. I prefer the Hyundais to the Kia generally, as they look a bit too whacky to me. But I think that’s the point as they are similar underneath

      Vauxhall are pretty unreliable now

The people who designed it and approved it don’t have the company’s best interest in mind. It’s atrocious.

With a WLTP range of 420 km it’s hardly a competitor these days.

So realistically 360km (225 miles) at best. Entirely unimpressive. Will be significantly less on a motorway at 110kmph.

@@csjrogerson2377 My VW ID3 had the same WLTP range. On bad conditions (cold weather etc.) my range was below 300 km (187 miles).

My brother and my sister in law both have one of these each and love them! They get over the claimed range (only by a little) often, that includes town and motorway driving, they seem to be really efficient.

Good review. It’s nice to see you are giving more realistic info re the range of these vehicles. Also the Citroen being a family car, two USB ports in the back are essential.😉

    From a German :
too many Brits keep posting the 90s-2000s stereotypes about French cars (not reliable, etc…).
    That’s absolutely not true.
I am a Auto Performance engineer, 17 years of experience within the car industry (Volvo, VW Group). I can tell you that French car makers have dramatically improved those past 10 years.
They do incredibly well in all reliability and safety tests.
Meanwhile, a car maker like Toyota, that is systematically celebrated as “reliable” by UK people, can’t stop having technical issues and car recalls.
Last one occured just one week ago in the USA : mass recalls because of airbag failures, putting lives at risk. In 2022, it was 500.000 cars in Malaysia, Indonesia that had to be recalled. It happened in Japan too.

So stereotypes are just not accurate. It’s no longer the 90s, it’s 2024 and French cars are great.
I drive a Peugeot 3008 (2022). I’m 51 year old, always was a BMW guy but my Peugeot is by far the best car I have ever owned.
It’s bordering on luxury. Driving it, you would feel it’s a 100.000 euro vehicle. Quality built, interiors, design, driving sensations and performances, it’s a fabulous car.
French cars are “accessible luxury” or “Luxury for all” cars.
If you wanted the German counterparts, you would need to put extra 20.000 euro more on the table.
French cars are on same level if not better, and they cost less money.
Like many in Germany, I am angry at the way German car makers inflate prices in the most shocking way.
“Normal, family cars” now can cost up to 60.000-80.000 euro, it’s too way too much and many people in Germany can’t get one.
That’s why I have decided to go French and I’m not going back.
Within the auto industry, people in the know are perfectly aware of how good the French have got.
Sadly, I predict very tough times ahead for VW, Audi, Mercedes.

They have sold really well here, you see loads on the roads, I like this update/face-lift, I have family members with one and it is a nice drive, and comfy, the tech works everytime and they often get above the claimed range, space enough for a young family and looks good too, well done Citreon!
