Nissan Ariya NISMO – The best drivers EV so far ? | 4K

I am one of the first individuals outside of to drive the brand-new Ariya and I got to drive it one of the best roadways in Japan. The Ariya in the very first NISMO design to come to the UK for a while and has 's knowings from Formula E all over it. More power, improved aero, performance Michelin Pilot Sport tyres and all new springs and dampers.

I found the ideal road to put it through it's paces in the spectacular hills of Japan at the foot on Mount Fuji!

Seen more Ariya’s on the road lately – looks really nice. Love the ‘on it’ concentration face at the start of the video. I’m not sure we’re missing out by not having the noise. I think the Ionic 5N has changed the game with respect to augmented car sounds.

That car with its ‘gears’ and shift sounds demonstrated whats possible with ai. Were going towards a world where we’ll be forced into more cars like that

The first time my plane dropped out of the clouds over Japan…my heart was in my throat, and I nearly wept at the sight of Mt. Fuji!
What a simply gorgeous place, Japan! Hope you enjoyed it at least as much as I did.
This is a nice car. You make it look fun to drive, too. I imagine the range is WELL over the range of Nissan’s first-gen Leaf. Nothing to whinge about here…which is unusual, nowadays! Aloha and continued safe travels to you!

Watching NHK’s Cycling round Japan” [on YT as well] convinced me of the beauty of Japan.

As an Ioniq 5N owner I can assure you, I’m still not bored by that mental Hyundai. This Ariya Nismo seems like a half-baked cookie to me, I’m sure the Nismo engineers could have done so much more… given a bit more freedom by the accountants/management.
    P.S.: Those roads look awesome.

    Wow…
    Them Roads ๐Ÿ˜Ž
And with better brakes I’d love the car also.

Weโ€™ve currently got an Ariya, only FWD, 87kw Evolve model. Sheโ€™s certainly lovely to drive, however I find the seats rather lacking in support on the base (sides are not quite deep enough), so if the Nismo version has the same seats, albeit badges Nismo, then Iโ€™d be disappointed that they havenโ€™t considered slightly better side thigh support. The rib side support is OK.
I am however coming from a Stelvio Quadrifoglio as a second car and a Focus RS MK3 as a weekend car, so my seat preference is always for more side support on the base and on the rib cage!

A good-looking car & plenty of go about it! Might be tempted once a few hit the used car mkt! You can leave the sounds in Japan maybe they will add others in time!

Great opportunity for you to go to Japan pete!! And if I’m honest I’m not a fan of the looks inside is better than the outside + its an EV which I’m not interested in but this looks quite ample BHP for everyday use & what’s the range on something like this pete or did you say & i missed that? ๐Ÿค” Nice Vlog & amazing opportunity for you!!๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

    Hi Ped
So envious when I started this video, seeing that magnificent view reminded me of our trip some years ago when we visited for the first time with Great Railway Journeys of The World. Love the country and the people. Very interesting to see how formula E has filtered down to this car, almost makes me want to drive one.๐Ÿคญ

Have to say Pete the roads in Japan are so well engineered and upkept made for driving. Not sure it would tempt me but seem to be a very competent car. Also great that you commented on the breaking aspect rather than washed over it.

Like the road, have been there testing and luckily saw Mt.Fuji! Depending on cost, it might be nice to have the extra performance but under normal conditions people will be concerned about the brakes before being confident in the performance addition. Nice video, thanks Pete ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

I had the Nismo Juke RS and loved it not quick off the like but in gear time / mid range it was ballistic Mine had the full Recaro pack inside i think this Ariya will be a good car for the UK
