Alfa Romeo Giulia Veloce – a Half Price Quadrifoglio ? | 4K

Is the actually a half rate Giulia Quadrifoglio? I still think it is one of the best looking saloon automobiles on sale today and has actually aged so well. I enjoy the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio but they are costly and have high running costs. Can to more affordable provide a similar driving experience and a much smaller bidget?

Ace review….but the Veloce 0-60 is just under 6 seconds, 5.7 to 5.9…it’s the quad that is 3.9 seconds.

I think you will find 0-62 is about 5.7 secs for the Veloce.

I’ve owned my Giulia Veloce for 3 1/2 years & has been 100% reliable. Mine is in Stromboli Grey with red interior & calipers, I get complements all of the time, especially when I’m filling up fuel. You won’t get that driving a dull default Audi or BMW, driving an Alfa makes you feel a million dollars but you will have to drive one to experience it.

My 2017 ‘Super’ currently has electrical gremlins since autumn. New battery, cleaned up battery fuse unit contacts, repaired/modded hvac vent but still plays up when out in the rain. Still in love with it tho 🙂

Alphas get bad press in the same way that people believe German cars are far superior than all other cars, which is completely untrue.

Bellissima 🤩 It’s aged so well. Sometimes you can miss a Quadrifoglio on the road. I wish the Veloce did do 0-60 in 3.6s – petrolheads would be lining up round the block. 5.7 is no slouch though.

      0-60 is what?

@@caymanblack9567 0-62 is supposed to be 5.7s. Mine is remapped by Celtic Tuning to 324hp and getting mid 5s.

Thanks for the review PP! Perfect timing, as have whittled down my extensive shortlist to one of these! Amazing buys at three years old!

I’ve run Giulia Veloces for the last 5 years and have been absolutely delighted with them. The look, the feel and the performance are perfect, and all you really need for UK roads. My current Veloce Ti also has most of the nice bits of trim from the Quadrifoglio too 👍

Nothing a mild tune and an exhaust upgrade won’t solve! Drove Alfas in the nineties. Lots of issues but oh my days was it fun!!

Best looking car around. Especially in Alfa red. 2.0 litres with 280HP is plenty for for me and I suspect most people.

I’ve owned a 2017 200hp petrol ‘Super’ Giulia for just over a year. In autumn it developed electrical issues (dash lights). Forums pointed to failing battery so I got a new one. Still problematic so currently looking into water ingress via hvac system which I’ve done some work on (no joy so far). Despite all this headache, I still love it. All the clichés are valid here, sublime handling, sharp steering and a constant smile on my face. That could be in part to the stage 2 remap from Celtic Tuning though 🙂 (324hp now) Guessing low to mid 5s for the 0-60 run.
