Exploring France in a DS9 taught me everything about DS Automobiles ! | 4K

Getting to explore France in a taught me all I needed to know about what makes the edgy French automobile producer tick. We drove over 300km around a few of the most lovely countryside and I fell for France all over again.

The DS5 is the high-end saloon in the DS lineup. As I drive through France I tell you my thoughts on the vehicle.

Evening all!! Hope everyone is doing well and has a great week ahead. The DS 9 is essentially a Peugeot 508 in a smarter suit.

The sacrifices you make to bring us content 😂. Awesome part of France.

Great vid as always Pete. In profile, this reminds me of the Citroen C6. Gorgeous scenery around where you were.

As a teenager I cycled through that part of France with my mates. (back in the late 50’s) and though life was much simpler then it was just as beautiful.

I’d have a Peugeot 508 instead but the French are making some good value, well specced cars at the moment.

Just curious what does this model compete with in the UK and if everyone is so impressed would you personally or any of the Influencers on the trip sign up on a Citroen VIP deal and run one for £275 per month ?? ❤

We’ve just returned from a Loire road trip in our MX5 RF, and I totally agree with you Pete, stunning countryside with some superb driving roads. Tolls roads for getting the bulk of the drive from Europoort south and back, the rest using back roads.

Lived in Lyon for a bit, the old quarter, a vast, old, apartment, it only ‘made sense’ (I relaxed into it) when I borrowed a bicycle, hacking about brainlessly. Loved it, from then on.

That was a lovely trip, it was great having the car content with the added bonus of the vineyard and velvet manufacturing 🍷🚙

Well, what an interesting trip that was. I know nothing about France, but have driven and owned a few french cars over the years and always found they did a great chasis and drove well.. That wine looked delicious….

Great video and superb scenery Pete, also the quality of the roads put ours to shame, as do most of Europe. That predictive front camera would be working overtime in the UK looking at all our potholes. 👍

If Carlsberg did car launches, they’d probably copy DS! I like that DS9, very stylish and look forward to seeing more of it, Pete.

Why is it every time one drives through a French village or tiny town there is never anyone about – where IS everyone??
Plus, although a well planned day, the hotel at the end seemed to have Peugeot lion head branding everywhere!

Even in wintertime the region is worth a visit! Nice review!

Great content Pete. My DS5 that I’ve owned for nearly 8 years is quirky yet comfortable, and it’s good to see it’s next generation especially when other car manufacturers are moving away from saloons and hatchbacks. Tres bien
