      @kaustavmandal24 If you married your cousin and living in the middle of nowhere? Sure, in a modern city? NO, American cars are trash, most wouldn’t even pass a crash test in the EU not to mention terrible fuel consumption and build quality 😂

    its refreshing to see a utilitarian car this stylish & replete with whimsical flourishes. For half the price of the A2e-tron, ill be able to save up for something a bit more well-appointed down the road.

      @takecourage92 You rent one for first week of school, spent half of each morning complaining about parking, next week you come in Spring describing it as spur of the moment purchase and how easy it is to find parking space in front of school in such tiny car

    Honestly, Renault and Dacia have been firing on all cylinders in their EV game. Happy to see this one, though I would wish for a bigger battery option, tbh. Still, it’s good enough for city running.

    I brought a brand new 2025 Expression 65 in January, it was the last stock dealers had for the model, it cost me £10k, I am very pleased with it. Dacia subsidised the £3750 grant themselves.
    Personally I think Dacia should have kept things simple and pushed down the price even more, but maybe they plan to upgrade the car and also reduce the price – a win win.
    Range is such a red herring. Providing you drive the car within its design restrictions you will have no problems – it easily recharges back to 100% overnight from around 40% with a granny charger.
    As for running the car, it costs about the same as it did running a petrol car back in 1973, when charging at home – about £2 per charge.

      The car is no longer manufactured in China, production has moved to Europe, so labor costs have gone up.

    this is what budget cars used to be, I love it!
    this is what a VW Polo, Fiat Punto and Citroen C3 used to be, before everything got luxurized.
    Even the back windows, love it! More car manufacturers should have these kind of budget cars again!

    The only thing that put me off the original was the range. If they had kept everything identical but added 30% range I would have been tempted. It being physically bigger is a negative for me, we need more small cars with big ranges in my opinion.

      _This_ Dacia Spring is based on the Renault Twingo E Tech and Dacia have inly had 1-1.5 years after it to develop their own version.

      Given this, of course it is going to end up around the same size and have the same flaws, like the pop out only rear windows. It’s expensive to design your own stuff from the ground up.

    My daughter drives a leaf with a range of 150 miles and 50 kw charging. It’s her only car and she uses it daily for her 25 mile commute and often drives 200 miles trips to visit family without any issues. She also only uses the granny charger to charge at home. We really don’t need massive batteries with long range forecast (see what I did there) to use an EV as your only car. My eC4 has a RWR of around 185 miles and I regularly travel 200miles. One stop for lunch. No problem. Oh and 0 to 60 in 12 seconds is absolutely fine for this kind of car.

      Yup, not sure it would work for me, but I’m not everyone and my needs are not everyone’s needs. It does look like a big step forward and I’d consider it under different circumstances.

      Sadly you aren’t in china, you get cars there (byd) for $15k with 350 miles and $24k with 650 miles range or even more. Plus BYD gives 1 year free charging on their fast chargers….Europe will never allow that…
