   A base spec GR Yaris is £46k, so this isn’t much more.

   It’s not for me – I’m too old for stuff like this, and cars like this are impossible to use properly on the roads now.

    Yes, the Aero looks superb, but unless you track it or drive it at license losing speeds on the road, the Aero part is just for show.

    Also, you’ll never buy a genuinely good Circuit Pack GR Yaris for less than £25k.

    The Gen.2 GRY is approx. £46K new, so this edition isn’t ‘that’ much more. I’d also be surprised if you could find one used for £30K (as you suggested) – if so, that is quite significant depreciation

    Going to correct the reviewer here and point out that this isn’t really a hot hatch anymore than my 83′ Renault R5 Turbo 2 is a hot hatch. Mine is a homologated rally car and arguably this GRY is as well. The AWD precludes it from being considered a true hot hatch. Plus, historically, a hot hatch is generally an affordable, low cost working class hero type of offering. The GRY is certainly a hero car but, working class? No, not really.

    I’ve always wanted a GR Yaris, and this ticks all the boxes. I love it, the looks 11/10.
    I just wish I could own one. 50k 😭

    I really like the look of the previous generation GR and I really wanted to like the Aero version, although (and I hate to say this) it looks a bit ‘Halfordsy’

       You can buy the whole aero package (think about 6 item) or individual items to add on, ignore matching paint and installation works. Gen 2 plus the aero package approx £5k = whereabouts £50k anyway.

    The GR Yaris will only appeal to a small proportion of drivers, even among petrol-heads. Nonetheless, I really like that a manufacturer as large as Toyota has persisted at producing them. The development and production costs most likely mean that Toyota make a loss on every one but and I really admire the ‘what the hell, we’re going to do it!” attitude. Well done, Toyota.

    What a epic review on this car, I am all for it and love that Toyota are still building these cars, Ford and other brands should be watching and taking notes.
