Driving the Porsche 911 GT3 S/C on its Dynamic Debut at Goodwood !

I love a convertible so removing the roofing system from the Porsche 911 GT3 could well lead to my best automobile. I was invited by Porsche GB to drive the 911 GT3 S/C on its Dynamic Debut up the Goodwood Festival of Speed Hillclimb!

What day were you there Ped? We spent all day Sunday, arrived at 7am, watched the supercars go twice, didn’t realise it could have been you. Great video.

Hats off for recording with chance of interruption! Never been to FOS, but would really value your thoughts on what stand to aim for for a first timer- – 2027 with any luck

Just come back from Provence in my C4S Cab – obviously a very different car, but perfect for pummelling the peage. I was at FoS on Sunday – it was very warm… I would have said hello had I seen you.

I let my son (19 and passed his test) drive my Porsche at Goodwood last year. Ok yes full disclosure it was our 2017 Cayenne and it was in a virtually empty field (carpark) but still; he drove a Porsche at Goodwood – love the video – good on you

Great fun. Loved it this year. Hot and dusty but the show, cars and atmosphere was as good as ever.

I road trip in a 992 C2S Cab. Totally with you on the connection to the environment a drop top yields. Epic video! Thanks.

The only real compromise with the 911 cabriolet is the added weight and additional cost obviously. There are no real issues with shuttle shake and anything like that. With the top up it is pretty much just as quite inside as the couple, the top is made from magnesium and has real glass in it, so it more like soft looking hardtop. The top is easy to put up and down (about 10 seconds), especially if you do the SmartTop mod which allows you to put it up and down with the key fob (highly recommend). Driving with the top down is wonderful experience overall, and the 911 cab does an excellent job with wind buffeting, it is possible to maintain a conversation with the top top. I would pick the cabriolet all day over the coupe.

That was a great run up the goodwood hill climb Peter. Next Porsche after the Spyder maybe? Guards red is the perfect colour for it.

The natural comparison with spyder rs…any thoughts? Or need to wait for a longer taste?

Wow, what a fab video! Nice one Pete, I wanted one before but seeing you and Amy, I need one!

So two questions. How are going to get past the peddlers chief financial officer? If you put the deposit down in form of your current Porsche, and we all chipped in 50p, youโ€™d be nearly there!

I think we need to see one on the channel. With Mrs g on the insurance!

And secondly, can we get any on the channel and the pod with you and Joe?

Really felt like was with you both! Thank you good sir!

Maybe a question to pose next time you meet.

Really enjoyed that. Decided not to go this year, but, like last year, weather off the scale, to match the motors.

Wonderful!!! My only disappointment is that Harry Benjamin didn’t say that the S/C was driven by the world-famous PetrolPed! ๐Ÿ˜…
