Skoda is aiming for price parity with the petrol Kamiq for its new Epiq, which could make it the EV bargain of the year! 🤯📉

If you were shopping for a small electric SUV right now, where’s your money going?
    A) Skoda Epiq (I want the value and practicality!) ☂
    B) Kia EV3 (I prefer the looks and want a long warranty) 📦
    C) Renault 4 (I prefer the retro French styling) 🇫🇷

@UltraJaffon paper, I agree. But I went and looked at it in a dealership last week and it seems bigger than you think it is. It’s got real presence and really good interior space. They’ve done a gteat job on it

Depending on how much the 55 version (with bigger battery) ends up, if under £30k it will be a good option in this price range. (disappointing we didn’t get that info in the vid)

@4literv6 So maybe just under/ over then if gets any EV grant in the UK. I’ll probably give it a test drive when I eventually go for an EV at that sort of price.

I don’t get it, are they just mocking people with those battery sizes or what is going on?

Not a bad looking Skoda to be fair.

MG just presented a MG4 Urban version which is slightly longer (around 4.4 meters instead of 4.1), with a slightly bigger battery (54 kwh instead of 52), at about 60% of the claimed prices for this Skoda (MG is 22,180 Euros for a 54KWh version). Skoda needs to do more and quicker when promoting affordability. Proposing an electric car for the same price as its sibiling thermal engine one is definitely not good enough on the current market. They should not brag about this. Electric cars are mechanically simpler and batteries prices are decreasing.

I just saw somewhere else that the previous information regarding the charge speed of the largest battery was wrong and it will only do 105kw.

Nice looking car, good features and price. Big SKODA written anywhere, a long way from the past. Nice to see the old logo on the wheel centres. Well done, as always, Skoda. Good video.

Disappointing a physical button pushes us to use a tablet whilst driving to adjust temperature. Was hoping for a physical button to actually adjust the temperature!

It looks like a great car. The only down side seems to be the IVI which in 2026 seems to be behind the times. But you have to blame the parent company for that.

So what happened to EuroNCAP knocking off ratings for touch screen controls. Taking your eyes off the road to use a phone or adjust the cabin temperature what is the difference in terms of risk and distraction?.
