    Unpopular opinion – if it wasn’t for Tracey, you’d own a 911 Turbo S. Mrs PP comes across as the financially responsible one in the marriage!

    I am glad this car exists and I am sure owners will love it. But my lowly 400bhp C4S Cab feels more than enough power on UK roads these days. I’ve owned more powerful cars in the past, but was always a little frustrated at driving them at only a fraction of their capabilities. A 911 convertible is a thing of joy – particularly driving down to the med. Perfect car for it and they swallow luggage if the back seats aren’t used for furry friends. 🙂

    I find a 480Hp Carrera S pretty rapid (3.1 to 60 IIRC), so this is just bonkers with a Golf GTi of HP on top roughly. Bonkers. 😲😲😲

    This review highlights why for daily driving the hybrid GTS is 991 turbo S performance, makes this gen turbo S less relevent.

    Peeve: people saying they are going to do a launch control. Um, no. Or, is it “I will now select the launch control function to do a launch in this amazing Porsche…” (Choose the latter!)
    I’m told by folks at Porsche that for the fastest launch, choose Sport Mode, revert to normal suspension, then choose sport response button and do your launch. Wing and nose flap in sport plus make for drag. Softer suspension makes for less wheel spin.
    With that out of the way, great video and great premise! My wife and I get out in ours for weekend long trips and to my thinking there is no better weekend getaway car than a Turbo S Cab. Rocket ship when it needs to be, comfort cruiser when it needs to be, canyon carver when it needs to be, and arrive in style at the inn and restaurant. Top up and tranquil when the weather turns foul, open air experience when the sun’s out.
    With so many spec and drive videos out there, it’s refreshing to see your weekend experience, with all the shots of the wonderful meals and accommodations. Bummer about the weather but that unto itself shows the flexibility of the car, too! Nice work. Cheers!

    There is something really special about silver Porsches with red interior. They might look a bit boring or repetitive at the beginning when a new generation is launched, but boy they look much much better many years after than the equivalent model in any other colour combination. Timeless spec👌🏼
