No, 1/2 Of Tesla Owners Don’t Go Back To Gas! Edmunds’ Incomplete Data Tells An Incomplete Picture!

I have no idea how Edmunds chose to keep up this misleading heading and insufficient information. Based upon trade-ins to dealers just, Edmunds announced last week that 51% of Tesla owners are selling their Teslas for gas automobiles. They EVEN put a Tesla shop right on the top of the post. There's an issue, majority of Tesla trade-ins do not appear to be to any dealership at all! Now we don't have great information here, and that's the problem. We don't know how many of the Teslas traded in so far in 2024 were at a dealership OR at a Rivian, Tesla, or Lucid which * sell direct * and for that reason there is no dealer data due to the fact that there's no dealership …

    Tesla owners want a really specific kind of car that only Tesla makes. It’s funny seeing “Tesla owner reviews X” videos on youtube because they always have the weirdest requirements for a vehicle.

    I’m on my fifth 3 year EV lease – 2 Leafs, 2 Bolts and now an EV6. I sold my last ICE vehicle during the pandemic and never plan to go back.

    Ah, I missed this one. I thought people were referencing the McKinsey claim that 46% of EV owners were planning to trade their EVs in for gas cars. This is a completed different, erroneous blanket claim!
