2026 Cadillac Lyriq V First Look – The Quickest Caddy Ever

Forget the Blackwing if you want to win a race to 60 miles per hour and get a Lyriq rather, specifically the new Lyriq V which has 615 HP and 650 lb-ft of twist that ought to get this to highway speeds in just 3.3 seconds, about 1/10th quicker than the 668 HP CT5-V Blackwing managed the job despite the Lyriq being a heavy EV. Compelling EV from Caddy, but that rear-end design is not my favorite. Like the C8 ‘vette, it will have to grow on me.

Typical GM, exactly what they should be doing in some areas, completely failing to do what they should do in others. I was excited until I saw charging port and interior/electronic failures. It’s like they designed this vehicle 5 years ago and then didn’t think to make sure the tech was still current for release. For me, it’s a ๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ‘Ž

NACS is coming to every vehicle… MY27 will see many move over… GM already started that with the MY26 Optiq… it takes time to move vehicles over especially when they are in the middle of design. Also what electronic failures? xD

If you started this video and had no clue the car had CCS you know absolutely nothing about it or the overall ev market. Until 6 months ago no non Tesla ev had nacs. As of today there aren’t even 10 non Tesla Evs with nacs.

@@shethjones4494 Exactly… and buy the NACS adapter, and you are ready to charge at Tesla stations that are open to non-Teslas…I don’t see why this is such a complaint, being the average person has no clue what either is.

I don’t care what anyone says – that’s an ENORMOUS amount of car for the money. And while I can understand someone not liking the styling, I think it looks very French, especially in the rear and it has real road presence overall. I think it will age well too.

I purchased one a couple months ago.. Funny you would say that if looks French – Magalie Debellis is the designer and she is French, and is a designer for GM and Cadillac in particular.

4:24 missed itโ€™s turn lane. Panics with a red light and freezes in the intersection. Get this off the road. This is not Level 5.

I have a Prologue, which is pretty quick around town if you put the pedal down. (7000 miles zero issues ๐Ÿ™) I think this amount of power would inevitably lead to some poor choices. Maybe when my lease runs out… ๐Ÿค”

Whining about the nacs port. And no explanation as to why it was disappointing or how the car is less usable without it

Get the NACS adapter and there is no issue. simple fix, especially since all chargers are CCS vs NACS that you use. One day all will be NACS, but not now.

After seeing the gm electric suvs in person, they really are wagons. The trailblazer/ecore gx twins have a taller and more upright profile. I understand for legal reasons they have to be called suvs, but i wish they went the subaru outback approach of just lifting a true wagon, than this

Looks like a pre refresh EV6 on the inside which I have. If I ever upgrade my GT it will be this maybe but I will miss my blind spot cams in the dash when changing lanes. It’s a must to fast super fast charge as well. 800V FTW ๐Ÿ˜…
