Why Tesla Full Self Drive is POINTLESS!

Explore brand-new & used vehicle handle Carwow:

Can a ₤ 1,000 box and a high-mileage used vehicle truly beat a Tesla at its own game? Mat's on a mission to discover!

Elon Musk desires over ₤ 6,800 to include "Complete Self-Driving" to a new Tesla Model 3. However Mat thinks he can do it for method less. He's purchased a 2016 Skoda Superb for ₤ 5,850 and paired it with a comma four system for just ₤ 942.

The goal? A DIY autonomous automobile that costs less than a Tesla software upgrade! So what will occur in this video?

First up, Mat and the team use Carwow to discover a low-cost, pre-owned car with Adaptive Cruise Control. When the vehicle's been secured (a top-spec, 165,000-mile Skoda Superb Lauren & Klement edition!), we'll get it checked over to guarantee it's fully roadworthy.

When any issues have actually been fixed, Mat and Nick will get to work installing the system in the car (and trust us, it's more difficult than you may think). But once it's in place, Mat and Nick will check the system on our private test track and runway, before taking it out on the open roadway!

The question is, will the comma system actually work? And more notably, will it perform better than the Tesla ?! Drop your guess in the comments listed below, and then keep enjoying to see which triumphes!

Didn’t expect anything more from Tesla hater Matt, at least he didn’t embarrass himself with door handles this time.

For those who have actually used FSD 13 or above will see through this trash.

To be fair, openpilot is more like autosteer than FSD right now anyway

@roadbiker8333you don’t know what you are talking about. That isn’t FSD. It is autosteer. So you are vastly misrepresentating the abilities of FSD. Of the 40k miles on my Model3P. 90 percent are FSD. It handles the entire drive from leaving to house to parking, including steep mountain roads that are not lined.

This is clickbait. That Tesla is using enhanced auto pilot not full self driving. I don’t even believe full self driving is available in the UK yet due to government regulations.

@4TheExecdidn’t Musk promise FSD on models that came out years ago?

Neither of those things are surprising, Carwow intentionally using outdated models of cars and using click bait and the UK government neutering everything

The premise of the entire video is incorrect.

FSD is still more advanced, but this will replace autosteer.

This is a classical example of providing wrong information deliberately. Stating that they test FSD, when actually they use the normal autopilot that comes for free and it is intended for highway only.

  7. @jonc-1989 Avatar
    @jonc-1989

Clickbait title. Tesla doesn’t have FSD in the UK. Also in the UK any form of Autopilot in cars cannot steer the wheels beyond a certain angle. They’re marketing as driving aids only and not self-driving. People who assume otherwise are those who crash their car and blame the tech
