@RoguePhotographerIt isn’t because people sell their EV and buy a new one once the warranty is up since they are insanely expensive to repair. I had the OBC break on mine outside warranty. Would have cost me 5k if I let an authorised mechanic fix it. Just nah man. If people kept their EVs for 15-20 years then sure it would be good for the environment but literally almost everyone sells them after 5 years max and buys a new one. Completely pointless thinking it’s saving anything. The best thing for the environment would be to just keep your gas car or only buy used.

I knew a guy with a Jetta TDI that did that. I called him Darth Vader as the soot would spool behind him on both sides. It was actually beautiful. I loved to watch him race but he hated racing my Cobalt. My lightweight counteracted his torque and then I’d pull away on the top end (anything above 80 mph)
