Push the car, it is lightweight.
-
Can damage the motors
-
@@THE_Game_Mentalin neutral? Nah.
-
β@@EndlessBreathDidges we just ignoring the part where it said it dies in park?
-
It is not in neutral and you can’t put it in neutral once it dies, the gear selector is one the screen because they are so cheap
-
β@@pwelelethere is actually a physical gear selector where the hazzard light is.

Can’t wait to see that one Tesla guy debunk this (if he can) π
-
Yeah, get a tesla if you wanna go to shops and back home ππ
-
Canβt wait for people to realise this was done on purpose and setup just for this video and not something that happens on even a rare basis because people arenβt silly or stupid enough to be out of charge 3 metres away from the charging port.
-
Not a Tesla guy , they went on purpose for 23miles after the battery hit the 0% , they depleted the battery so deeply that even the 12V service battery went falt thus they couldn’t disengage the parking brake (that activate for safety reasons) in total it ran 352miles mostly at highway speed in real world conditions.
-
@@TubaTonesguy at work has an Audi qTron. When the battery got low it went into limp mode and he had to drive at 5mph for 3 miles home ππ. Totally stupid and dangerous setup.
Do Teslaβs do something more intelligent?
-
-
Get yourself a proper car
-
And he would have the exact same problem right by the gasoline pump
The only difference in the situation would be the type of fuel
-
@@emil123emil123emil i get what you’re saying, but technically you can just pour some fuel in a bottle and put it in the tank.
-
-
You always bring something unique to the table, can’t get enough!
-
Do they use generators or batteries in the back of that van?
-
Do electric cars not have a “neutral” you can put it in and push it?
-
Yes but they intentionally deep discharged the both the main 400V and the 12V battery (driven 23miles after the 0%) so they where unable to put in neutral from the parking position (that get automatically enabled before diying for safety reasons )
-
-
Put it in tow mode and push. Reserves battery to make towing possible even when battery at β0%β
-
If you watch the full video you’ll see that they deeply discharged both main and service battery as they ran 23miles after it hit 0% battery on the display.
-
Talking about missing the whole point: “When your Tesla dies and LOCKS itself in Park”
-
@@JoriDiculous As much as annoying is , unfortunately it’s a safety feature because of the electric handbrake (personally i prefer manual ones) and brakes, nowadays in modern cars we have power brakes that works using vacuum pressure from the engine (that’s why is damn hard to brake when the engine is off) and in EVs the pressure is applied by an electric compressor. If an EV (when completely bottomming out) doesn’t engage it’s parking brake ,it may allow it to push it but at the same time it can be very dangerous in inclines.
In the end I see Tesla safety point of view but at the same time it might be useful also to include an emergency mechanical disengage (like what it has in it’s doors).

Get an extension cord for situations like this
-
Mercedes and Audi saw this and stopped building EVs
-
Bro has to wait for RAC because he is unable to push his car 20 feet?β οΈ What’s the most gonna happen? The motors would go boom.
-
The car locks itself in park mode. There are no gears and everything, including the parking brake, relies on electricity. When the battery dies, it’s done, you can’t push it anywhere, it just stays there.
-
if you move your eyes slightly down you can read (i hope): “Hen your Tesla dies and locks itself in park…”
-
What if I told you you would sound significantly more intelligent by not prefixing all sentences with the word βbroβ π
-
@@mred9161 correct usage of punctation makes you sound even more intelligent.

-
I have never even got close to this situation in my EV. There is no reason for this to ever happen in real life.
-
some people live different lives from yours. And sometimes things happen.
-
If people can run outta gas and be stranded people can run outta electricity and be stranded.
-
-
Could u not put it in neutral and move it?
-
No. Want to know why? Well, as the video Clearly say: “When your Tesla dies and locks itself in park”
LOCKED IN PARK is the clue -
The lovely digital only controls prevent that, however one would wonder why it doesn’t have reserve power for an ultra low power emergency mode
-
β@@stevenjacobs6608It does but they really want to see how far you can reach
-
This happened to me and I was able to engage towards mode and push the car to the charger
-
Just get the jerry ca. . . Nvm
-
-
If my petrol car dies out of reach of the pump i can get a jerry can and refill it there and then. Can’t exactly pop in the petrol station and pick up a couple of duracell to get your ev to the charger.
-
That is just next level ridiculous
-
So the car doesn’t allow pushing?πππ
WTH -
Bro, carry a power bank next time.
-
When the car controls you
-
There’s gotta be a way to get it into neutral, that’s actually a hilariously awful flaw otherwise
