It helps when someone has an irritating inundating marriage ending snoreπππ

This era was already past “the best and nothing else”. This is the early “plastic fantastic” era of Mercedes, combined with the ” we do rust like noone else” fase. πππ
-
well said.
-
Mercedes, sadly, was not the only car brand which went down that route…
-
@SuchtFaktorHoch10 minus the “fase” instead of “faze” π

The interior looks terrible and Volvo was doing that years earlier. You can literally see entire rows of empty black plastic buttons in this clip lmao

i love that feature in my w203 since day one ππ

This was the hard plastic era of Mercedes I don’t think it was best or nothing
-
And the little white markings wear off easily on that cheapest plastic you can find…

If you donβt understand the numbers google AI is great -
Even by 1995 mercedes were on the decline just like all other German manufacturers. Now there isn’t a single one that is reliable.
Pretty much everything breaks on Audi’s and Mercedes. BMW haven’t a clue how to make a reliable turbo if you get a model with one and they have all sorts of electrical issues.
Sad but the famous ‘German’ build quality went away in the 90s.

this is past that era
-
When Germany starts making such cars again, I will be the first one to give my money to them. But not before!
-
2000s merc were built different

My 1989 w124 has this feature , it was so cool & ahead of its time
-
“Best or nothing” then shows a ton of blanking plates where feature buttons should be π
-
This is a good decade past the Best or nothing era

A couple years back (even when luxury makes were going to all screen for all the things) I predicted high quality buttons and knobs which can currently be found on some quite ordinary cars…would eventually be reserved for luxury cars only. Of course the whole wall of LCD screen thing will have to run it’s course before we see the return of a truly useable interior, but it will return regardless. However those of us who can’t justify $65+ for a car may still be trying to use tiny digital sliders to adjust temperature and fan speed, but not those with deep pockets.

Dear Matt,
Can you please do an offroad competition between (Ford Ranger, Ford Rapter, Ford Rapter F150 and the Dodge Ram Mammoth.) Or leave out the “Dodge” if you would like, so it’s all kept to being just Fords. -
E320cdi strait 6. 500bhp on standard internals.
