Launch Control isn’t much of a secret on my A4. It’s on page 87 of the owner’s manual – “Launch control program”. Then again, maybe it is a secret to most owners.

On certain Audis that still have physical buttons for climate control, you can keep cabin warm when running errands. After you turn off car, hit the driver’s side button for auto temp and will run the system for about 15 minutes using the heat from the car’s engine. It is very wonderful on cold days to come back to a toasty warm car.

VW have been doing the “hold unlock to lower your windows” thing for over 20 years now. I have a friend who owned a VW Polo (early 2000s make) and it had the feature, despite not even having a remote for unlocking the car. Since the driver’s door lock was going bad, it would sometimes get the key stuck when unlocking, and that’s how we found out. Crazy how it’s just now becoming popular.

In an Audi, if you switch the mirror knob to one side or the other for manual or auto adjustment when reversing, the mirror heating is turned off until you turn the knob back to center position. One feature you didn’t mention is that the German manufacturers often have a hidden engineering mode in the entertainment system with lots of detailed information about all systems.
