This is the brand new Audi Q3, and Mat's got his hands on one for a full, thorough evaluation!

There's no denying there's a big amount of small SUVs readily available to purchase in 2026, so does the new Q3 offer enough to stand out from the crowd? Let's take a more detailed look, beginning with the design.

It's a little a bad start, with the front and the side angle leading the Q3 to feel relatively confidential. The vehicle we have here is the range-topping edition, so it comes with additional black plastic on the front bumper, in addition to a more aggressive grille, however the entry-level model wouldn't feature these alternatives and would leave a lot to be desired. The new Audi logo design appears flat and downplayed, but fortunately, the smooth headlights provide it a little existence. Along the side, this edition of the cars and truck has black side mirrors, in addition to black window surrounds and roof rails, however it still looks relatively generic. Around the bac, k it's a different story, with the cool tail light style, as well as a full length light bar, with the shaping of the rear end offering it a bit more existence.

Step within, and the Q3 has a quality cabin. There are soft-touch products throughout, and it usually looks and feels costly. There's a large stroking infotainment and digital dial screen throughout the dash, and although it includes a large bezel, the new infotainment system is usually easy to use. The digital dials also look crisp and sharp, although a few of the customisation options aren't the very best. All-in-all, however, the Q3 certainly comes with a much better design on the interior compared to the outside!

There are a large number of engines offered for the brand-new Q3. The entry-level is a 1.5-litre turbo fuel with 150hp, while there's also a 2-litre turbo diesel with the same output. Both of these cars and trucks have front-wheel drive only. There are 2 variations of the 2-litre 4-cylinder turbo, both featuring Quattro all-wheel drive and either 204hp or 265hp. Finally, there's a plug-in hybrid, which couples a 1.5-litre turbo fuel with a motor & battery to produce 272hp.

However, there's one key point we have not addressed yet. The entry-level Q3 now costs ₤ 38,000, and if you go for the range-topper with a couple of choices added (like we have in this video), you could be investing approximately ₤ 58,000 on this small SUV! So is it worth it? You'll need to stick to Mat and see for yourself!

Could we please, carwow go back to more car reviews, please? The drag races are cool and all, but you give us too much; it seems like you’re turning away from your original idea/videos. One last thing, could we maybe also have Mat review some more reasonable cars like Toyotas or more mid-range vehicles and bring back the cool sport carss pleaseee like the supra’s and all that

@dazpike3472 Yea, I get that the drag races may bring in the views, however it’s just sad how the whole point of carwow back in the day when I first watched them was reviewing cars showing you the good, the bad and the ugly, to help you of what car to buy and now it seems like they are making less and less, I just would like to have a balance of the drag races and more of the old style reviews aswell

@dazpike3472I also think Matt should go back to his car journalist roots and cut the influencer nonsense. He has another chanel for that.
