yea…. i think we know who lost
-
It’s normal. The bike have a very little contact rubber-tarmac.
-
Grip doesnt necesarly increase with a larger contact patch, is not that the issue
-
@@marcos1669 than… Explain us 🤔
-
@@vasile-liberconstantin187 what exactly?
-
@@marcos1669I think grip has some to do with it. Larger tires mean more contact and will stop faster, also weight distribution helps
-
@@davidsamuel2418 no, because where you tyre is wider the presure per inch(or cm) is lower, so what you win in one, you loose in the other one)
Tyre width has more to do with tyre wear and temperature management

They should have had a corsa too so we can see a normal car vs bike
-
Bike would probably brake faster than a Jeep
-
Jeep vs Honda cub. Biker has a top spec superbike so right to match against super cars
-
-
Does that bike have ABS? If not, I wonder how much shorter braking distance would ABS provide.
-
I doubt that particular model did because it’s an older one.
-
It’s a 2024 Yamaha R1, definitely has ABS
-
According to him it did have abs
-
Engine breaking would have helped massively
-
@@LeeWhite26 was it a 24 model I thought he said it was an old model.

“so what? I will still be breaking speed limits and driving dangerously” most bikers, probably
-
Still faster than your car tho 😂😂😂
-
@@apox5308 an engine with two wheels will be faster than a cage with 4 wheels and an engine. Simple physics

While I get this is a joke, as a rider myself, most of our community is embarrassed by the idiots who ride like jackasses. We’re not all the same. I can also tell you without a shadow of a doubt, that it’s a small minority who ride like morons. Most of us just want to enjoy ourselves leisurely. 👍

Something weird witj that test, a top car can break in 31m from 60mph and a tope bike in about 38m, where the big difference comes fron the last par where you have to release a littoe the break on the bike because orherwide you will top over
-
According to the Highway Code, which is probably outdated, the braking distance for a bike at 50mph is 38m, but at 70mph it almost doubles to 75m. At 100mph that will further increase it, and the wet track will make the difference even bigger. Estimating the camera operators on the grass are around 1.8m tall, that looks to be 40-50m at a guess so, seems legit tbh.

Happy new year everyone may you all have a good year ❤❤❤

Bikes are the most dangerous thing mankind has ever created
-
Guns? Nuclear missiles? Drugs?
-
-
Sam would have endoed the bike on the rear bumper of Mat 😀
-
So cars are safer… just pointing the obvious 😂😂🇿🇦🇿🇦
-
Chris the big balls 😂😂
-
Bike took a very long time on it to brake, also happy new year
-
Woah
-
Now include a Jeep…
-
Who would have thought that huge differences in the sizes of contact patches and wheelbases would make a difference in braking distances?
-
@@russellparr9252 contact patch has little to no effect, It doesnt work that way, wheelbase does somewhat because the gravity center in a bike is quite high
-
-
Bikes can brake better but the rider will go flying 💀💀
-
Not to mention these cars are Porsche and Ferrari, not just normal road cars, but still most cars can stop shorter than that bike.
