SUPERSALOON vs SUPERCAR.
It's another crazy drag race from carwow, and this time the magnificent Audi RS7 Efficiency goes head-to-head with the track-focused Ferrari 458 Speciale!
On paper, this ought to be close … but it's really interesting.
The RS7 packs a 4.0 L twin-turbo V8 pushing over 620hp and an enormous 800Nm of torque. Add Quattro four-wheel drive and launch control, and this high-end missile can rocket off the line with harsh consistency. It's heavy, yes– but it hooks up instantly and simply goes!.
Then there's the 458 Speciale. A naturally aspirated 4.5 L V8 shouting to 9,000 rpm, around 605hp, rear-wheel drive, and substantially lighter. It's raw, remarkable, and developed for the track. No turbos, just pure throttle reaction and spine-tingling sound.
So what takes place over the quarter mile? Does the Audi's traction and torque control from the start? Or does the Ferrari's lightweight chassis and high-revving power claw it back at the top end?
This is Germany vs Italy. Turbo torque vs N/A theatre. Usefulness vs enthusiasm.
View till the end for the result– and comment your winner listed below!.
