    1. @xIcarus227 Avatar
      @xIcarus227

      It absolutely would, but as you can see in this comment section people like ignoring the price even though when they go to the dealership it’s the most important aspect when they’re buying.
      And since most car journalists are irresponsible towards prices, this is the result.

      In the U.S., new GT3 is around 350-400K. I bought my C.S. when they first started getting to dealerships for $140K. My family loves Porsche, and this was my first BMW, and I have to say, I absolutely love this car. Especially for the price, you get way more car for what you’re spending.

    The best comparison to the M4 CS is probably a 911 GTS or S, not GT3, which has a totally different purpose and design.

    1. @videogazer801 Avatar
      @videogazer801

      All 911 are the same and looks 95% the same, the go and torque are basically pretty much the only differences.

    2. @SapphireSamC Avatar

      Maybe the Carrera T would be a good comparison to the M4 CS.

    3. @AndrewLeet92 Avatar
      @AndrewLeet92

      @videogazer801 That’s a bold claim. They’re very, very different. Also the 911 GTS is a 4 seater, the GT3 is a 2 seater.

      Entirely different cars.

    4. @videogazer801 Avatar
      @videogazer801

      @AndrewLeet92it’s the same, because those rears seats come easily removable from factory, no changes to the structural design so there is that…. Much like a rear spoiler or spoiler delete. All 911’s are typically 95% the same, but they over charge for it, that’s all.

    5. @MrBeckPJ Avatar
      @MrBeckPJ

      @SapphireSamCCarrera T is more on par with the standard M4 (if it’s a manual). The Carrera S is probably more on the same level with the M4 Comp. The GTS is more on par with with the M4cs. The GT3 feels out of place in this comparison.

    That would be an SUV from toyota a tested used hilux or a new landcruiser, a sedan from BMW m5 CSL 2021 and a compact sports car which is a borderline hypercar would always be a 911 turbo S.

      @teletubbypo318 Better in what way? In terms of price, excitement, and practicality, the M4 is better.
      Anyway, comparing a car with a mid-engine to a classic one doesn’t make much sense.

    3. @ChrisKellyPrime Avatar
      @ChrisKellyPrime

      @wojciech8931neither car has a mid engine here

    4. @teletubbypo318 Avatar
      @teletubbypo318

      @w@wojciech8931 the CS is not beating the GTS for excitement. Practicality and price yes, but nobody buys a Porsche for practical reasons and price I think is irrelevant it’s value for money. The GTS has more power than the GT3 and faster than the CS. I’ve had two 100k+ BMWs and they are the most unreliable cars I’ve ever had. And the 911 is rear engined not mid engined

  12. @markrhoden68 Avatar

    Like comparing a high end multi purpose pocket knife and a scalpel.
    M4cs if its your only car, GT3 for your other car.
    Also do people who are lucky enough to be able to afford either a M4cs or GT3 actually compare the two given the practicality and price differences

    1. @ApothecaryTerry Avatar
      @ApothecaryTerry

      If it’s your only car, it’s a Carrera S or M4 Comp. Only a completely insane person would buy a car as rare as that M4 CS as their only car and daily it. Anyone buying the M4 CS has a multi-car garage and can afford a 911 if they wanted to.

      Disclaimer: I daily drive an ex-press car Lexus LC500, it’s my only car. I’m a completely insane person, per my own criteria and therefore one of few people genuinely qualified to post this comment 😂 There is no world in which I’d swap my car for an M4 CS without someone paying me enough cash to buy the LC straight back. I did daily a Porsche NA flat 6 for 3 years (981CS) but I’m not sure anyone is actually crazy enough to daily a GT3 😄

      Considering them both as 2nd cars I think, therefore, is 100% reasonable, and anyone who can afford either of these as a 2nd car can reasonably afford the other, since you account for depreciation, not RRP. I’d bet the M4 CS is worth less than my used Lexus by the time I sell it, so I imagine the Porsche costs less in terms of net loss.

    You can tell that 911 means business because the skirts, splitters and diffusers AREN’T carbon fibre. In any case, if I were looking at that market I wouldn’t even consider the BMW. I know it’s good, but it’s (to my eye) not attractive (the look over your shoulder when walking away thing) nor would I be considering practicality. Odd.

    What journalists always miss on the CS is that it’s not just some carbon fiber parts compared to the regular M4. The CS has a completely different front axle for different reasons and BMW have put more R&D into that and to fine tuning the software of the gearbox, diff etc.
    Whatever that makes it worth it for you to buy the car, only one self can answer that but because something looks the same, doesn’t mean its the same.
