Mat's flown over to Germany to get his hands on the brand new Porsche 911 Turbo S!

It's lastly time for him to put it through its rates, taking it on a drive through town, on a twisty roadway, and even on some de-restricted Autobahn!

The concern is, just how much has it enhanced compared to its predecessor? And is it worth the huge ₤ 199,000 price tag? Let's take a closer look …

In regards to the style, it's still unmistakably a 911 from the outside. Around the back, there are brand-new vents at the rear for the intercoolers for the engine's brand-new hybrid tech, and these are flanked by big quad tailpipes. There's likewise the now-standard full-length light bar. Along the side of the back of the automobile is wider, with side vents to assist smooth air circulation around the cars and truck. There's also a carbon fiber roofing system (although that's an optional extra). In advance, there's a brand new headlight cluster that houses all lights, and there are vents within the bumper that can close at greater speeds to improve characteristics.

Considered that this is just a mid-life facelift, the style of the interior remains largely similar to that of the previous car. There's carbon fiber on the dash, completely digital dials, and the starter switch has been switched to a button. Otherwise, the interior of the new Turbo S is mainly the like before – but that's no bad thing!

The new Porsche 911 Turbo S is powered by a 3.6-litre twin-turbo flat-six that produces 711hp and 800Nm. It's likewise the very first Turbo S to come with hybrid innovation consisted of, with the T-Hybrid system consisting of a little electrical motor in the gearbox to offer it some severe punch. As a result, the new 911 Turbo S has a 0-60mph time of just 2.5 seconds, and a top speed of 322km/h!

So, is the new Turbo S an enhancement on its predecessor? You'll need to stick to Mat to see for yourself!

Huge thanks to THT Efficiency for their assist with the dyno test!

2026 turbo s should have had 800 bhp and 950 nm of torque;all of its closest competitors have above 800 bhp with all 1 second quicker 0-200 kph times;porsche please wake up you just ruined your legendary 911 turbo s

@davidfujkk8018 Dude. They haven’t ruined anything. 2.4 second 0-60 is insane. That’s comfortably competing with the Lamborghini Reveulto, Ferrari 296, and Mclaren 750S.

@davidfujkk8018 Porsche’s typically don’t need extremely high horsepower to achieve the same acceleration and top speeds due to all the other factors at play in the development of the car. They’re pretty lightweight compared to other cars these days, too (not to mention being heavily rear-weight-biased, helping with traction).

@davidfujkk8018Nope, 711hp is already plenty to punch above its class as usual and
There is room needed for the upcoming Gt2RS

@Techtinkerer3D they have different finishes for them. You can see them in the configurator. Check out any of the finishes with highly polished surfaces such as “High Gloss Black with Highly Polished Surfaces.” The “Satin Black” and “Jet Black Metallic” also have highly polished surfaces even though it doesn’t say it in the name. Anyway, they all look amazing. Much better than the plain finish on the wheels in this video

Haven’t even started video yet but, I’m 50 never liked Porsche thought they were overrated. I drove one for a week and I saw the draw I now own one and love it. Porsche gets it. I don’t need or want 1000 horsepower. I want something fast but handles amazing and puts a smile on my face Porsche does that. I’m sure this car will over perform because it’s what Porsche does.

As a Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid owner and a previous 991.2 Turbo S, I can vouch for the hybrid system getting those twin turbos up instantly. On the 991 Turbo S, it’s insanely fast, once the turbos is spinning, but there’s a slight lag, on the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid, it’s instant throttle respond thanks to the battery. Got the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid because I needed for room for the kiddos, nevertheless, it’s still fast and fun, in Sports +, I get an average of 12mpg, in auto hybrid, on our recent 1,000 mile road trip, we averaged 37mpg.

14:25 the reason for why it produced extra torque at the top end is because the new electric turbos do not have a wastegate to limit boost and the turbo motor acts as a break to limit boost and also produces power which is then sent to the drive train motor , at the very top end the two turbos are producing excess boost so , more power to the drive train motor and more torque at the top end

711 HP is just so funny because it is the telephone area code for Stuttgart.

But to be honest only 711 HP out of a real 3,6l 6 cylinder Engine with electric turbocharger is not that good compared to a C63 with its economycar 2 liter thing.
