I was having a chat with a newly appointed sales room manager for BYD, we out of his work.
He was telling me how good the cars were and how good the feel and build quality was and how safe they were.As he drives an Audi A6 estate, I asked him a question,
I said you have to have a crash on a motorway at 70mph, and your wife and baby boy have to be with you,
Where are you going to seat them, in your Audi or in a BYD.He just looked at me and said nothing,
Speaks volumes.I also drive a big German SUV and I know exactly where I would want to be sat.

Wow, that brake test reveal at 60 mph shows some serious instability with a stopping distance of 41 m. Definitely needs some tuning for better control and safety!

I live in California in the U.S., and I saw one of these that came up from Mexico because they don’t sell them in the U.S. I checked the configurator because with a name like “Build Your Dreams” I figured they must’ve had quite a lot of silly customization but it seems like all you can do is change the paint color. So much for “Build Your Dreams” if they all look the same sans different colors.
