New Audi A5: Better than BMW & Mercedes?

Modification your car with Carwow:

This is the brand new A5!

We have actually got our hands on the fully updated A5, and Mat's about to see how it compares to its 2 crucial rivals – the 3 Series, and the C-Class. The question is, in this three-way fight, which is the very best pick? Let's take a closer take a look at the .

Regarding the exterior style, there are numerous updates over the previous model, although it's mainly simply more of the same. Up front, there's a bigger grille and chunkier headlights, while around the back there's a full-width light bar with an entire load of customisation alternatives. There's also one big upgrade – the exhaust suggestions are 100% real!

Step inside and there is an entire host of tech to be discovered. There's a substantial digital dial & infotainment screen, and there's even a third screen on the front passenger's side. The infotainment is incredibly quick and responsive, and the seats are reasonably comfortable. Soft touch products cover higher-up locations of the cabin, although it's all a bit scratchy and cheap the lower down you reach.

In terms of performance, the Audi A5 range begins with a 2-litre 4-cylinder turbo petrol that can provide around 150hp. The vehicle we have here is the 2-litre turbo diesel, and this can deliver 204hp and 400Nm.

The A5 variety starts from around ₤ 42,000, which is a little more than the (₤ 41,000), while likewise being a bit more affordable than the (₤ 45,000). But is it the smart choice? You'll need to stick with Mat to see for yourself!
