MINI Cooper review: The perfect small car?

This is the brand-new !

It's available as either a fuel or electrical car, and we've got our hands on the electric cars and truck for this review. The concern is, when it pertains to compact automobiles, is this one of the very best you can purchase in 2024?

For beginners, let's check out the design. From the outdoors, it is unmistakable as a . There are three trim levels readily available, and we have actually got our hands on the top-spec Sport edition. This suggests it comes with an aggressive front bumper, black tone detailing, side skirts, and a large (however phony) rear diffuser.

Step within and the brand-new is a nice place to sit. The highlight of the interior is the big circular infotainment screen in the centre of the dash. Most of the vehicle's functions are housed here, consisting of the environment controls, however sadly, it's not the most responsive system. Elsewhere in the cabin, there are well-designed, recycled products on the dash, but in lower-down areas, there's a fair little bit of plastic material. Luckily though, the seats are extremely comfy.

Provided we've got the electric edition, it's only available as a three-door. If you desire a five-door MINI, you'll require to select the gas car!

There are 2 variations of the electrical MINI offered. The entry-level is the Cooper E, which includes a 37kWh battery that can produce 184hp and 190 miles of variety. The other edition is the Cooper SE, which has a 49kWh battery, 218hp and 250 miles of range.

If you choose the fuel automobile, the entry-level has a 1.5-litre 3-cylinder turbo that can produce 156hp, or there's a 2-litre 4-cylinder turbo fuel that can put down 204hp. All MINIs are front-wheel drive, and they're all automatic!

The petrol-powered MINI starts at ₤ 23,000, while the electrical edition begins at around ₤ 30,000. Nevertheless, the rate can rise by a lot – the top-of-the-range car we have here costs over ₤ 42,000!! So is it worth it? You'll need to stick to Mat and see on your own!
