McLaren 750S v Lambo Revuelto: DRAG RACE

It's time for a Britain vs Italy face-off!

We've got Mat in the , and he's going head-to-head against Yianni in his Revuelto! The question is, can the RWD really remove the 4WD Lambo? Let's take a more detailed look …

Starting with the , it's powered by a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 that can produce 750hp and 800Nm of torque. This power is sent to the rear wheels by means of a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, and the car weighs in at 1,389 kg. As new, a will set you back around ₤ 254,000.

Then we have the Lambo. It's powered by a 6.5-litre naturally-aspirated V12 and three electric motors. Integrated they can put down 1,015 hp and 1,062 Nm, and this power is sent to all four wheels. The and truck tips the scales at just under 2 tonnes, and as new it's a whole lot more expensive than the McLaren, costing around ₤ 447,000.

So the Lambo has the most power, but the McLaren is SO much lighter! Will the weight difference show definitive? There's only one method to discover for sure … LET'S RACE!

      Lamborghini should release S version of revuelto with 1200 ps out put and 45 kg lighter battery pack with samsung’s solid battery cells and 10 kwh in capacity for the battery pack and total 100 kg lighter dry weight . lamborghini please read my comment and do it exactly like i just said you wont regret it.

      This might be the best V12 performance, it is quite heavier than V8 and doesn’t already have a twin turbo so it has a a lot of potential.

      Also it’s 5 years old 😂😂 new turbo s will be INSANE. “Pascal bernatchez” a small youtube… just posted a vid on his channel of a taycan turbo gt without the weisach package running a 9.15 on the drag strip… no tesla has ever done that… taycan is faster. With the weisach pack its going to be in the 8s. It may beat the lucid saphhire air and is already ahead of them all when it comes to suspension, handling, and braking. Porsche one upped tesla once again. Just like in 2020. Wow.

    What’s the problem with the 750S? In old races, the 720S managed a 10.4, the 765 LT did a 10 seconds dead. The 750 S should’ve been between the both, maybe a 10 or 10.2, but it did 10.6 which is worse than the McLaren Artura itself.

      I think McLaren changed the gear ratios over the 720S and this is a stop gap car for the hybrid successor to come in and take its place. Also this is a 750S spider.

      @@G82Watts In my experience with street racing at lights sometimes it is used and other times not. It usually depends on a couple things. The car and how convoluted the particular process is or is not to engage launch control. If there is enough time to fully engage launch at the light by the time you realize the person you pulled up to at the light wants to go. More often than not launch control is not used at impromptu street racing in my experience for these reasons. Even for easy cars where you hold brake and mash throttle there isn’t always enough time to get things spooled up by the time you are certain the other driver is indeed ready to race you.

      He always does that, the driver should be allowed to choose his optimal gear at the given speed. A lot of card have diferent drive train and gear ratios, also usually turbo cars have torque from the low end of rev range, and NA just bellow the top reaches peak.

Cars with a twin turbo or single turbo have to be in or above the boost threshold so it negates any turbo lag. Real drivers know their car but reviews like this where they have no driving experince and don’t own either car are going to get worst results. For instance in a m4 comp xdrive u have to be above 3-3.5k rpm to have max power output from a roll. Without that it’s going to have turbo build lag.

    I love these videos and have been watching them for years but can’t help but think with just a little more effort you could make them even more appealing. As you already have all the timing gear set up why not include 0-60mph times when doing the what exactly happened section – and possibly even 100-200kmh times when doing the rolling races. Will make it much easier to compare the cars being raced
