I bought a cheap ‘550hp’ Bentley, it was a DISASTER!

Check out new and used car handle Carwow:

Did Mat make a substantial mistake purchasing a Bentley Continental GT for simply ₤ 10,200?

In this video, we're putting our bargain-basement Bentley head-to-head with a beautiful, well-kept version of the precise very same cars and truck, but this one deserves ₤ 30,000! Is the "mint" example really worth 3 times the rate, and if so, is it worth Mat gathering the cash to get our cars and truck to the very same level?

Well, here's the important things: we already know from a previous video that there are an entire load of concerns with our car. We need to change the front suspension, replace the handbrake motors, modification deformed brakes, and it also needs a significant service and a brand-new MOT. All in, the fix everything, it would cost over ₤ 25,000 to fix them all!

What's more, the 6-litre W12 needs to be producing 550hp, but in this circumstances ours is only putting down 320hp, so to get it back to producing what it ought to would cost an extra ₤ 8,000!

So we now have a massive decision to make. Do we cut our losses or double down? Here is how we tackle this problem:

For starters, we see just how much the vehicle is worth if we just strip it and offer it in pieces. We then get the vehicle professionally valeted to see if "looking the part" suffices to fool a specialist when compared to the ₤ 30k variation, and after that lastly we try to fix only the bare basics required to get it road-legal.

Can you really save ₤ 20,000 by purchasing a "fixer-upper" Bentley, or did we simply buy a really heavy, extremely expensive paperweight? Stick with Mat to discover!

Thanks to for assisting us with this video!

      That’s true the episode was fantastic and I think it goes for every luxury car It doesn’t mean because it cost €10,000 now doesn’t mean the parts are going to carry a cheap brand there not They’re going to carry the same value they did on the car came out so it’s important to get a car that you actually can afford to fix I’ve heard Aston Martin and Mercedes are very reliable if you’re looking for something luxurious as Bentley especially are very bad because they put the vacuum lines behind the engine and the whole engine has to come out to replace them which is so stupid. BTW I’ll never have the money for anything like that the nicest car I’ll ever get would be a VW golf or seat loen 2020

      Loads of big engine high power vehicles need engines removed for little bits and bobs. In fact even relatively average vehicles needs to have engines out for routine maintenance now because there is no room in the engine bays.

      It’s just how modern cars are and one of the many reasons they are not worth fixing.

      Yep, if she works an 8-hour day without any breaks, then that would be 3.2 minutes per check for 150 cars. For 250 cars, that is less than 2 minutes

      @broadleyn
