Didn’t top gear show this 20 years ago?
-
Everyone is a Clarkson, May and Hammond I guess… Haha 😂
-
It’s been known for longer than that
-
Yes
-
It’s for us gen z-ers
-
Yes they did, Clarkson showed it to us
-

This works, been doing this for years. Since I fitted my TOAD immobiliser on my Vauxhall Nova
-
I had a Toad immobiliser on my Astra GTE 16v. If I parked too close to a cell tower I couldn’t deactivate it! I’d have to push the car away from the tower before I could start it.

Danke für deine harte Arbeit und Hingabe. Deine Videos sind immer eine Freude zu sehen.😇🦉🐸

I use this tactic since i saw it on Top gear years ago.
-
did it work?
-
Certainly
-
-
Ancient trick.
-
Yeah my dad showed it to me over 20 years ago 😆
-
Ancient? It’s only ancient since the legendary Top Gear trios did it first but other than that ancient cars did not have a key fob with buttons obviously…
-
@@jeremyclares4851 Google says that’s from 2007. If that’s the case then people knew about it way sooner than that. We have had remote lock car keys since the 80’s. And as said above my dad showed it to me in the beginning of the 2000’s

And if your head’s empty.. the distance will be even greater..
-
I’m dying 😂😂😂😂
-
😂😂
-
😂😂😂😂😂please

😂😂😂😭😭

Success guaranteed 😅

Bro took “Use your brain” literally 💀
-
The old stile keys worked from a longer distance than that but now we want everything fancyer
-
I don’t know…the oldest style car keys only had a range of zero meters.

@@EstormM8 lol got a 14 years old seat with the original battery in the key and it works from a ,,mile ” on the new keys you have to replace the battery every year and you have to be 1 m away 😂

-
I’ve learned this from Jeremy Clarkson, and I was surprised that it worked!
-
Top Gear demonstrated this with Jeremy’s empty head and it worked even further away. Folklore has it that it works even better with your mouth open, further increasing the size of the cavity.
-
Can someone tell me the science behind that?
-
Head acts as an antenna
-
its something too do with the water in your head
-
When the radio waves from the key go into your water-dense body, a ‘dielectric resonator’ is created. This increases the amplitude of the waves, and thus, the range of the signal.

its just a prank bro dont fall for it

Used this for my 1998 M3😂

And people still think frequency and waves do not affect us lol.
-
@Scoobywoo7447 Ignorant statement. Low energy ones, like ones from the fob or even cellphone, do not. It’s already established science with a bunch of university and medical publication research.
-
Thanks

I saw a dealer do that trick when we bought a new 2007 Acura TSX and have been using it ever since.
-
Now take your CB radio mic in one hand and hold a fluorescent tube in the other. Key the mic and watch the tube glow. Yeah, I’m old and knew this key to forehead trick decades ago.
-
Been doing this for over 30 years. Used to fit car alarms back then.
-
Sir Clarkson definitely has an influence here…🎉
-
It works on the chin too
-
I have done this for years. I place the fob under my chin, works a treat 😊
