Mat's on the hunt to find the best hypercar he has actually ever driven!
He's been fortunate enough to get his hands on a whole load of unusual, exotic and expensive hypercars over the past few years. From track-only monsters such as the Pagani Huayra R evo Roadster through to ultra-exclusive Bugattis and Ferraris, Mat has had his hands on some of the rarest cars and trucks in the world. However which one tops the list as his favourite?
Let's begin with a take a look at the competitors.
Starting with the Ferrari, it's powered by a 6.5-litre naturally-aspirated V12 that produces 840hp and 697Nm. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, and the vehicle weighs roughly 1,600 kg. In terms of value, it's easily worth more than ₤ 4,000,000!
Up next is the track-only Pagani. It's powered by a 6-litre naturally-aspirated V12 that produces 900hp and 770Nm of torque. This power is sent out to the rear wheels just by means of a 6-speed sequential gearbox, and it just weighs an amazing 1,060 kg dry! However then it's not a surprise, offered pretty much the whole car is constructed of carbon fiber. Oh, and it has an approximate cost of ₤ 3,000,000!
Koenigsegg makes it to the list with the CC850. It's powered by an almighty 5-litre twin-turbo V8. When operating on E85, it can produce 1,385 hp, while on regular fuel, it can still produce 1,100 hp. This power is sent out to the rear wheels only, and it just weighs 1,385 kg – giving it a 1:1 power-to-weight ratio!
As for Bugatti, Mat's included the Mistral to the shortlist. Just 100 will ever be produced, and it's powered by the famous 8-litre quad-turbo W16 engine. This means the Mistral produces 1,600 hp and 1,600 Nm of torque, with power sent out to all four wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission!
