I don’t understand this at all. This is what my 14 year old nephew would think is cool, and that’s why he has ambient lighting in his bedroom and his keyboard. I can’t believe any adult would want this in their car.

its nice – my dads Skoda has in in the front on the door cards and dashboard – it’s genuinely cool – but the effects this Kia has are a bit much, in the Skoda it is just sorta background lighting

Yup. People backlight their televisions now too. Flat screens and LEDs have made it easier for people to be tacky. The only thing I want to know about colored lights inside my car are 1, do I have to pay for it, and 2, how do I turn it off?

My Renault Espace 5 has ambient lightung and It’s something that is nice to have at night like a showoff at your friends, but when its too much its kinda annoying

2:every car i know has a setting to turn it off or to lower the brightness

Mercedes is still king. Kia is a wannabe Benz and I don’t like that… be authentic, be fresh, be unique.

How does ambient lighting make a car a wannabe Benz? My 12 year old Ford has factory ambient lights around the cabin.

Idk if ambient lighting is just another fad or like an easier/cheaper way to give the illusion of interior quality? I know Mercedes uses ambient lighting as an integrated warning system.
