… … … … … … … … … … … … … When it comes to luxurious SUVs, it does not get far better than these five competitors. Representing Britain we've got the Rolls-Royce Cullinan, the Variety Range and the . From Germany we've got the GLS, and from the USA we have actually got the Cadillac Escalade. But what's most important to you? If the outside style is most important to you, then prepare yourself for huge imposing grilles, smatterings of chrome across the place, and exclusive alloy styles. If the interior is more your bag, any of these and trucks may be most suitable from you. From leather-lined ceilings to swathes of wood coupled with soft touch materials throughout the cabin, then any of these vehicles will work for you. However obviously, that simply covers the front seats, and it's highly most likely that if you're selecting among these vehicles, they may be driver driven, and that's when the back seats enter into play! With thick carpets, quilted stitching on the seats and even refrigerators constructed into the central armrest, these five automobiles are the indisputable winners when it comes back seat high-end. One area where these engines might not go beyond are the engines and performance, primarily because they
all weigh well in excess of 2 tonnes. However that's not to say the engines aren't big! The tiniest we have here is a V8, rising all the way up to the Cullinan's 6.75-litre V12. But then again, if you remain in the market for among these , certainly high-end is more crucial than speed, right? So which of these high-end SUVs will come out on top. Will the Rolls-Royce snatch it? Or will the Escalade surprise everyone and take the top area? You'll need to stick to Mat and see on your own! @Daniel Ainger how about Ferrari setting a foot in that field … I think that’s even more ridiculous.

There’s a shortage of parts so when it breaks down you’ll be waiting months. Either that or get a second hand part like they’re advising dealers.

@ELITESMOK3Y and then i will buy another with security cause if i got the bank to buy one range rover than i prolly got the bank to buy another one

Reminds me of the Grand Tour episode where Clarkson was going on about how the Range Rover always wins cause it’s a Range Rover.

If we go by build quality. I’ll bet that the Maybach wins by one less electric fault in 5 years 😂

    1. lbnewell Avatar
      lbnewell

From personal experience merc build quality is much worse than their reputation let’s on. And Bentleys build quality is much better, surprisingly I’d bet it will be the most reliable

    2. Jack Avatar
      Jack

Mercedes build quality is a joke, was purposefully worsened for profits, my bet would be the rolls having the best build quality judging by the quality of bmws and minis

    3. Macron87 Avatar

Mercedes build quality is awful. But still not as awful as that two-tone Maybach looks

    4. Patrick Sandeberg Avatar

@Jack I’ve had 2 range rovers and they were both horrible. First one was a 2014 and it leaked from the sunroof brand new. The second one spent more time in service then on the road.
The Mercedes ones weren’t much better. Best car I’ve is a Honda accord and a Volvo estate XC70.

I’d like to see a range test with these giants. I love when Mat and Carwow do electric range tests on EVs, and it would be hilarious to see these get stuck on side of highways. I love the shout-out to Yuri and Jakub over at Straight Pipes too.

Matt, you should have brought an Escalade V-Series instead of a regular long wheelbase version! The “V” has a supercharged 6.2L V8 engine which makes 682 hp & 885 nm, two real dual exhaust tips and a beautiful exhaust sound! Big difference!!!

Would be interesting to compare the annual operating costs of each model and the cost of parts. Depreciation is clearly a huge cost but tougher to estimate.
