Nah, it doesn’t matter in the slightest, it’s only cheating if you don’t understand physics…

Your regular brakes can lock up your wheels. You don’t need engine braking. Tire grip is the limiting factor.

I’m pretty sure Matt has been downshifting on every single break test video I’ve watched on the channel, where he has been a part of. I haven’t watched them all, but at least five.

I have watched everyone’s hands on Carwow break tests and noticed that all of them do downshift sometimes. The weird thing is that it is not a guarantee whether or not they do/don’t.
