Can the Tesla Model 3 be stopped?!

There's no denying that the is among the most popular all-electric saloons worldwide.

No matter where you remain in the world, opportunities are it won't take long up until you identify a Model 3 driving by – and an all-new edition is due out in early 2024! The question is, will this all-new Design 3 have the ability to keep hold of its crown? Or could some other all-electric saloons take its location, such as the IONIQ 6, Mercedes EQE or BMW i4?

Well to start off, let's check out the design of these four EVs. Beginning with the new Model 3, there are slimmer headlights up front along with a big main vent in the bumper. There are new alloy wheel designs along with some specifically designed tyres for the and truck, and around the back, there's a set of new taillights and an updated bumper.

On the within, there are a number of brand-new features. The seats now feature ventilation, and there's an LED light bar that runs along the side doors and across the dash. The stalks have likewise been eliminated from the steering wheel, with indicator buttons now contributed to it.

Next up we have the Hyundai. The Ioniq 6 has a sleek, diving body style, paired with double spoilers at the back. It comes with a pixelated light design comparable to the 5, although it likewise has a little a weird rear bumper design. The streamlined looks continue around the front, and all-in-all it's quite wise!

On the inside the style is pretty comparable to the Ioniq 5. There are good quality materials throughout the dash, and a large infotainment & digital dial double screen installed to the middle of it.

Next up we have the EQE. The outside looks basically identical to the all-electric EQS, however it's just been made a bit smaller. There aren't any clever creases on the outside either.

Luckily the interior is far more striking. There are 2 interior designs to pick from, and both come with a definitely substantial infotainment screen – among these stretches throughout the entire dash! The digital dial screens are extremely clever, and there are soft-touch materials throughout the whole cabin.

Then finally we have the BMW i4, it looks seriously excellent! It comes with the large 'grille' style at the front, side skirts along the side, and at the back, you'll discover sculptured tail lights and a tiny bootlip spoiler.

Step within and the design is the same as the all-new M3 and M4, so you know it'll be great to sit in. But then it's not a surprise given it's constructed on the very same platform as the M3!

So they all look good, however then it comes down to the price. The Model 3 will be launched in the UK in early 2024 and will cost from ₤ 39,990. The Ioniq 6 starts from simply under ₤ 47,000, and the i4 begins at around ₤ 50,000 price. However the most expensive and truck is the Mercedes EQE, which will set you back ₤ 69,000!

So which of you think is finest? Let us know in the remarks!

Hint: He did not explain everything step by step. He mentioned everything that’s good at the Model 3 (even features the new version does not have – like the performance from 0-60 in under 4 seconds) and completely ignored everything where Tesla terribly fails. Like park assist, traffic sign recognition and other assistance features.

Just bought an Ioniq 5 after watching Mats review a bit late, I would have considered the 6 if I didn’t need a large boot.
Absolutely love my EV, fast with instant power, insane amount of tech and the most comfortable car I have ever owned. also looks gorgeous, like a modern DeLorean.

I don’t like the boxy look personally but plenty of people do, prefer the 6 or the Tesla, definitely a lot more efficient than the German brands.

Keep in mind that the tires impact efficiency significantly. The i4 and IONIQ 6 both had the largest tire and rim size available on them, which lowers their range 15-20% worse than it would otherwise be. The Tesla and EQE in this test had their range-optimised rims on.

    1. nisooo:3 Avatar
      nisooo:3

and weather makes a big difference too. In i4 test drive it was raining a lot and very humid weather which increases the air density therefore increasing consumption.

I really like electric cars IN THEORY. In reality, they are kind of boring. Yeah, you can race in a straight line but they don’t have any drama. Just silent travel. Good for grandmas.

Just love this Ionic interior design and practicality
(never was in one, so I can’t talk about quality), it is my favorite from those cars in this video…but exterior is just terrible.
I however choose car based on how I feel while sitting in it, and having ugly car as that wouldn’t be a problem if it would be made right.

Mercedes and Tesla never had great quality control, i hate that piano black plastic in MB and there is so many problems with previous models of Model 3 which I don’t expect that they have fixed…but both of those cars looks nice, and technologies are great…in Tesla’s case, not just in car, but also best batteries and charging network (which is alone thing that would make me buy one).

Bmw is as a regular car as it could be, I guess that it could win a lot of buyers, just because not everyone is looking for space shuttles.
Anyway…nice cars, all of them on their own…but they are so different, especially in pricing…so everyone should find something for them self.

You are comparing a £40k entry level car with cars twice the price, says it all, especially when you look at the extras lists of the other cars. Good review though, remember also that the success of Tesla is down to the volume they are able to produce PS Model 3 horn was always in the centre

I think he was comparing it to the model S with a similar steering wheel, where the horn is a button

It’s impressive, but Tesla does charge you a couple thousand if you want any colour other than white. You have to pay 500 for wall connector (bmw provide this with car as standard). The full self driving stuff costs 7 grand.

Thanks for another entertaining review. Do any of Tesla’s competitors have the ability to save Driver Profiles? I suffer from lower back pain and set up two profiles, one more upright and the other more relaxed, and found this really helpful for long distance driving.

I think it’s a shame that this isn’t a new shooting with new cars, as oppose to using old clips and stitching it together. As someone who watches all your videos, I recall all these clips, so it doesn’t have the same feeling as your other comparisons do.
