When you’re trying to make the situation safer by doing something far more unsafe💀

This is exactly why older cars are better. They’re not unnecessarily complicated like this
-
Then start making older cars
-
Around 2020 cars or older are good

A bot copy/pasted your comment and it has more liked. Goof job YT.

Manufacturers don’t like the cost of buttons, wiring, etc. So they want to turn everything into a laptop on wheels. Sucks…At some point, I’m just going to stop buying modern cars.
-
This is the real reason why they did this

-
The exact reason I preferred BMW’s was they were simple to use! Not anymore they’ve followed the crowd shame
-
That is why I am not interested in new cars… like a bloody iPad on wheels! Utterly infuriating, distracting, downright dangerous even!

Currently shopping around for a used car and for the bmw 3 series I’ve put a filter on 2021 and earlier. Avoiding the 2022 facelift with the awful touch screen idrive 8.

@RH-nk7eoBMW cars in the late 2010s were very good looking cars with proper controls, around 2017 ish. Get a low mileage example around that time. Good friend of mine had a 67 reg 440i M GranCoupe. Lovely car, really was

You carry yourself with so much quiet strength, it’s admirable.
-
This is as bad if not worse than using a mobile phone.
-
You won’t be able to do it while driving
-
It makes zero sense. I can’t believe governments haven’t stepped in on these screens
-
-
The EU needs to step in and stop this nonsense

At that rate of decline, soon BMW will put the operating of the indicators in the same menu instead of the traditional stork.
Come to think of it though, that would be ok because BMW drivers don’t use their indicators anyways😅 -
This is what happens when an engineering company stops following engineering philosophies and starts following marketing trends. It started back in 2011 with the F30. First started with removing 3 series coupes and convertibles as 4 series.
-
F30 was the last good 3 series

BMW has made sure the car is as confusing as possible. Basically, they’ve been Germans.
-
It is indeed stupid

The distance control in my 2-month old BMW is on the steering wheel. But I see this somewhat like the climate controls, I set the temperature (20.0) once & since the closest distance setting is still too far in most cases that gets set once too – I rarely, if ever, adjust them.
I’m more interested in heated seat & heated screen controls.

The adaptive Cruise Control is directly connected with my brain. My eyes are used as a sensor and then the Signal is processed and gives any necessary Information to my right leg which is connected to a lever on the car which controls the Speed. Sounds difficult, but works for many years now, mostly reliable.

BMW is dying! VAG is dying! Tesla and China are killing them!
-
I’m a mechanic and I actually genuinely detest new cars. Especially the German ones.
-
How can cost saving be of so importance that these fools are willing to overlook common sense.
-
A proper “what the f***” is absolutely adequate here. 🙂👍🏼

I have said it before and I will say it again: the peak of cars was around 20 years ago. Interiors where nice but simple, cars drove nice, cars weren’t as morbidly obese and they where still reliable.
