BMW v Mercedes v Audi: For £1,000!?

The Carwow Black Friday sale is now live:

If you wanted a luxury German saloon without the luxury price, you 'd probably consider purchasing an utilized car … However how about an utilized cars and truck that's over twenty years old !?

Well, Mat's got his hands on an , BMW and a C-class all from the early 2000s to see if selecting a timeless saloon is worth it. Oh, and he's going to drag race them obviously!

To begin with the . It's covered 129,000 miles and has a 2.0-litre inline four-cylinder gas engine that makes 130hp & 195nm. That power goes to the front wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox

Then there's the C180. It's driven 126,000 miles and has a 1.8-litre inline four-cylinder engine with a supercharger. It puts out 141hp & 220nm. That power goes to the rear-wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox.

Then lastly, there's the BMW 318i. It's covered 88,000 miles and has a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated inline four-cylinder engine that makes 140hp & 200nm. That power goes to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission.

So, which among these old saloon vehicles will be Mat's favourite? Keep viewing and discover!

I’m selling an A4 like that, 2.0 petrol in black. She’s been our family workhorse for over 12 years, never missed a beat, very very comfortable, good MPG if you know how to drive her properly. My only complaint would be the glovebox that will break on every single one of those, but I fixed it.

Wipers: very common, spray some WD40 behind the nuts and it will come back to normal, Bosch blades don’t squeak like that.
