It's the ultimate German V8 showdown as we bring together 4 German heavyweights at the Carwow drag race strip!
We've got our hands on the limited-edition Audi RS6 GT, the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S, the brand-new BMW M5 Touring, and the extraordinary Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid.
Let's take a closer look at the stats …
The Audi RS6 GT is the most hardcore version of the RS6 we've ever seen, featuring a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 that pumps out 630hp and 850Nm of torque. It utilises an 8-speed automated gearbox to send out power to all four wheels and weighs in at 2,075 kg.
The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S is the lightest vehicle in this lineup at 2,045 kg and relies on pure internal combustion instead of hybrid support like in the BMW & Porsche. Its 4-litre twin-turbo V8 produces 639hp and 900Nm of torque, paired with a stylish 9-speed automated transmission that is well-known for its brutal launches.
The all-new BMW M5 Touring arrives with a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 combined with an electric motor that integrates to provide a massive 727hp and 1,000 Nm of torque. While it is the heavy player of the group at 2,475 kg, that 8-speed automatic gearbox and instant electrical torque may simply be enough to balance out that substantial weight.
The Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid complete the grid as the most effective automobile here, boasting a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 hybrid setup that produces an incredible 782hp and 1,000 Nm of torque. It utilizes a lightning-fast 8-speed automatic transmission to manage all that power, and regardless of its high-end luxury, it is all set to offer the others a real run for their cash.
So will the more powerful hybrids win it? Or will the additional weight slow them down? There's just one method to discover for sure … LET'S RACE!
