    Do they use the same tyre size and brand, do the vehicles have the same weight and weight distribution? There are multiple factors that can influence braking distance

      No, it’s won’t matter because they’re testing different vehicles!

      @SurgingApocalypse exactly. Hence the entire vehicle dictates how a car brakes. You can’t compare ferrari brakes with bmw brakes this way. Not the brakes performance alone that is

      Oh hush, it’s an entertainment channel 😂

      All the way, Ferrari should brake better than any BMW. It is supposed to have better tires, better brake discs, etc, it took 4 metres more than M5!

    It’s almost impossible to see Matt Jumpson win a brake test

    I’ll never understand how a whole group of people as big as carwow still thinks that brakes themselves are the deciding factor in braking distance on full braking force/emergency brake. It’s almost the least relevant thing

      💯… but it gets the uneducated sheep arguing in the comments… 🤷🏻‍♂️

      exactly this. pretty much any sports car you can buy has more than enough braking power to lock up all 4 wheels, the limiting factor is almost ALWAYS the tires.

      Both cars have a p zero or ps4s tire option so I’d assume they’re on something along those lines.. regardless of that it’s sad that Ferraris v12 flagship sports car didn’t stop as quick as a two ton family sedan 🤷🏻‍♂️ the 812 has been tested at 99 feet from 60-0 and the m5cs is 99-100 feet so there’s that as well

      @Laskyification there’s so much more than that, IF either car has carbon ceramic (idk if it’s the case here) brakes need to be up to temp, surface and surface condition matters a lot too, front tires temp also matters a lot, weight of each car, weight distribution, braking force distribution (although im 99% sure both cars have EBD) etc etc, so much more than just one brakes better than the other

      @yimpyoi9808 yeah, tires and weight
