How's this for a drag race line-up!
We have actually got our hands on Porsche's very first hypercar, the 918 Spyder, and it's taking on … A Honda Integra Type R?!
But naturally, this is no normal Integra – it's the AWD Integra Type R provided to us by Formally Gassed!
So let's see how these 2 mega devices compare. Beginning with the Porsche, it's powered by a 4.6-litre naturally-aspirated V8, paired with 2 electric motors, which integrate to provide 887hp and 1,280 Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox, and it weighs in at 1,674 kg.
And then we have the Integra. It's a 2002 Type R that's had around ₤ 100,000 spent on it. As an outcome, it's been transformed to have AWD, had a consecutive transmission fitted, and an enormous turbo has been added to the 2-litre 4-cylinder engine, simply to name a few of the mods! As an outcome, this amazing import can now produce around 922hp!!
So it's the ₤ 1.4 million hypercar vs. a ₤ 100,000 Integra. Will the dependability of the Porsche move it to success? Or will the Integra take the win? There's just one way to discover … LET'S RACE!
