I went for Renault Megane Etech Techno + in red with silver grey roof. Loving it.

This was on my shopping list but because of my high mileage I would have paid over £500 a month for the Megane, which was a little on the high side 😢

Yep Mégane or Scenic, 22kW AC, heat pump as standard, android automotive and very quiet and refined ride quality.

Renault hitting the notes with their EV designs.
Just the right mix of retro and modern, IMO.

I’d love one of these. I just wish Renault offered better lease deals on it.

There is a company making stalks for Teslas and this is something you should test. Getting rid of stalks is a safety issue which regulators should address. Tesla needs a couple more adults in its design department and a few less video game designers.

Personally I think touchscreens and their menus are a very poor ergonomic choice for cars.

@@welshskies I love the touchscreen and thumb buttons for turn signals. I think people just hate on things that cause their brain to require re-wiring. But re-mapping your brain for doing everyday tasks helps keep your brain from becoming too “trenched out”. The brain is an amazing tool and it stays younger when the most used neural pathways are constantly changing.

Musk will just tell Trump to de-fund the regulators and let the manufacturers police themselves.

Don’t understand the haters it’s just silly. The man is changing the world so of course he’s a little ‘over the top”, over sold and hyped BUT he has kept everyone honest…..look at Rockets and space, electric storage to level out supply with demand especially where ALL alternative energy is lumpy in supply, the Petrol/ diesel cheaters (whom has treated us as anything but stupid….only Elon)……I could go on about social media, AI, robots etc etc. People need to wise up about how VW/Audi, BMW, Mercedes, GM, TOYOTA etc have just lied, cheated and overcharged us !!! Now as tax payers we ARE helping keep them afloat !! They are laying off workers and will continue in 24/25 years to layoff 100’s of Ks. Japan and Germany are in deep depression as we enter 2025 because these Deisel suppliers have distributed dividends rather than invest for the future.

They really haven’t and next year they will fall further behind any gains they have made. If you ignore the consumer, Tesla’s real benefit is they can make the cars for a large profit and nobody else can.

Renault Mégane, 22kW AC for when you’re out of range of a rapid charger is a god send, heat pump as standard, android automotive, low insurance group and one of the lightest EVs in its class giving you the most out of each electron you put in plus Renault has really upped the interor quality and fit and finish, bang for buck its pretty compelling

My Prius is 19 years old and it did a fine job but I need a car with more comfort, room and a higher entrance. After test driving many cars we bought a BYD Seal U (design). Is a very complete car and drives exactly as I want to. We get it in April.

Not sure why lack of stalks are so controversial. Probably because drive journalists mostly just ‘testdrive’. It takes only a day to realise how unnecessary stalks are & get used to not having them nor a ‘gear stick’.
The indicator buttons are perfectly placed for switching from Right indicator to Left indicator when taking 3rd exit in a round about. The auto gear select works brilliantly when parking or 3 pt turning. The new model 3 interior + 17 speaker sound system makes it a lovely place to effortlessly drive within.
