You are somewhat correct
Obviously, tyre physics are really complicated but you’re 110% correct in terms of weight, especially since it’s an unsprung mass.
But the fatter tyre, with bigger side profile might have a negative effect becuase of elasticity.
The bigger the side profile, the larger the elasticity surface area, and that elasiticity can cost you energy.
In fact that sidewall elasticity can act as a dampening effect. On a bigger scale look at those top fuel dragster tyres, see how they crumple radially under that massive acceleration force. And the energy you used to crumple the tyre, you won’t get it back at 100%
