Why do companies needlessly try to complicate stuff which works perfectly fine 😔-
The sensors and system have very high rating on components, designing and testing.
If you have something happening once in multiple years of driving in combination with a fault with million of hours before an occurrence – higher risk of falling when exiting the car.

I heard this same argument from people who refused to wear seatbelts because it might trap them in the car. Many of them are dead or seriously injured now.

The passive safety systems are still class leading in Volvos. That won’t be a problem. I don’t even like Volvos EVs that much
