It actually looks better than I thought it would and finally Volvo has switched to a landscape oriented central screen!

      Curious, why is that better?

I suppose you’re asking about landscape orientation for the screen. While charging, it’s of course nice to stream videos on YouTube or play games. Almost all EVs have switched to landscape orientation now.

That range and charging combo feels like the moment family EVs stop being about compromise and start being about confidence. Interesting to see software, safety, and packaging finally moving at the same pace as performance.

@hagestad This platform is fully assembled designed and engineered in Sweden. What’s the point of being that China phobic. The car run Google spyware aka AAOS. I would be more worried about Google tracking your habits destination,… it even has Gemini how can you be worried about Chinese spyware seriously.

I expected it to be a copy and paste of the Polestar 3 but it looks so much better

@paul._davidI don’t think it’s bad looking, but no one in their right mind would say the car is breaking any mould with the design

I much prefer the EX60’s looks to those of the iX3, but I’ll be fascinated to know if Volvo can get anywhere near the BMW for driver engagement and ride.

Ok, it’s expensive, but even the bottom of the range has a big enough range. Very nice indeed.

I love Scandinavian design, especially the Volvo/Polestar design. And this EX60 look just good, not great. They’ve cut some corners and made some changes for the sake of change and not for improving the experience: awkward door handles, awkward center console with large gaps that could have been designed a bit more practically, lack of physical controls (a car should not be a software thing first, unless it’s flawless), to name a few.
I’m aware most of these observations might be just in my head. I still prefer the XC60 design, which I strongly believe is above the EX60.

But of course, I’ll wait for your amazing hands-on driving videos. They’re always a pleasure to watch!

Hmmm, not interested for the same reason I ruled out the ex30, touch screen only is a big no for me, can’t believe that wasn’t mentioned. Don’t like the pop out cup holders, where do you put your phone? Really don’t like the idea of software controlled seat belts, certainly wouldn’t be jumping to try that out before knowing if it’s actually reliable. Dosnt mention the cost of the top version that has the range that is big big ticket item?!
