    If Nissan get the pricing right, could be a winner.

      The good priced spec models they reckon over 40k, thats 620 quid road for 5 years… Car companies really need to get their cars under 40k as no one will want 620 quid road tax unless for proper cars like Porsche, Bentleys etc

      No, the government needs to update the price when luxury car tax kicks in. £40000 is so out of date for the times we live in.

      It’s got to be cheaper than it’s competition or it’ll just be another overpriced car for the public that the leasing companies get for £10k less and force us into leasing.

    I think this looks ok, blends with the crowd a little but, the fact it is UK built, needs to be shouted from the rooftops! 🎉 we need to support British industry where we can!

    3. @bamber119 Avatar
      @bamber119

      No he meant British. The cars are built here, providing jobs and parts as required and with that comes a local economy in Sunderland.

    4. @lucasr8059 Avatar
      @lucasr8059

      @@bamber119 Good for you if you think this way. Ask yourself one question: Why doesn’t Great Britain produce its own cars, giving Britons the same employment? Another one: Why did you sell Land Rover and Jaguar, and MG is manufactured in China?
      Answer:
      You are to be only slaves of foreign transnational corporations.

    5. @bamber119 Avatar
      @bamber119

      @@lucasr8059I see the problem fine. We have Noble I think still, Bristol and Mclaren. We’ve lost most of our British companies to likes of the Germans and Chinese. But cars being built in the UK, being owned by foreign companies or not means that our motor manufacturing industry isn’t dead.

    Funny that VTG is mentioned as something new seeing that it was also supported by the first Leaf, though via Chademo which unfortunately didn’t become the world wide standard.

    I am surprised by how impressive this is – a vehicle that has finally gone back to real buttons on the steering wheel, a real dial for volume, good cup holders, a good enough range in the larger battery. It looks fine outside and the inside is a nice place to be it seems. A rare win these days with so much crap coming from the traditional manufacturers. Please, please price it right, it could be a real winner if they get it right and a sad irrelevance if they try to overcharge.

    Miles added in a specific time doesn’t make sense at all without percentages, if someone plugs in at 50% they are not going to get 259 miles in 30 minutes.

    Thank goodness they didn’t re-use software from Ariya – that was dreadful! Could well top the charts if they lean into the ‘British built’ theme and offer some cracking lease deals…

      @@scottbannongiger6742except it’s actually smaller than the old Leaf! Proportions are doing all the work of making it look like a bigger car when in fact it’s dimensionally smaller in nearly every direction. Wheelbase is 105.9 in, down from 106.3 in. Overall length is 173.4 in, down from 176.4 in. Height is fractionally shorter at 61.3 in, down from 61.7. Even the ground clearance has dropped, from 5.9 in down to 5.3 in. The only size increase is the width, where it’s 0.9 in wider.

    As a second generation Leaf driver I have very mixed feelings about this car. I was hoping to see the new generation to get better with fast charging and even get a bigger battery and software but not completely change and look almost like an Ariya… Definitely lost on me, as I will keep driving my cute little quirky Gen2 Leaf…
