    Doesn’t feel like 5 minutes ago that I was waiting to go to the launch of the EV6. Now its already old enough to have been updated! Lease deals on the old model, might be good very soon.

      Disagree. Looks like a Prius with an unhealthy growth on each side.

    It’s crazy how quickly the market has grown over the past 2 years! This is still super competitive but calling it an SUV is a stretch! At best it’s a slightly raised hatchback/ “crossover”

      Yes. The EV9 is an SUV. This is a crossover.

      @@androo4519 the EV9 too me looks like an MPV when you see it in real life. The dimensions are very similar to the last generation VW sharan. It’s all to do with marketing and styling

      It’s a flipping hatchback, no idea why they insist on the SUV tag. Ioniq 5 is by no means an SUV either.

    It’s a long car which is certainly noticeable when trying to park the car in the supermarket carparks. It’s a monster due to it’s length and usually sticks out of spaces.

      4.7 metres isn’t particularly long. It’s about the same size as a Skoda Octavia.

      @@paulstaniford8622 it’s 1.1” longer than a Ford Focus estate. Does 1.1” really make that much of a difference in a car park?

      The issue with the Ev6 and most large EVs is more the width for UK roads and parking spaces

      I’ve done some research. The EV6 is almost exactly the same length as a Skoda Octavia, approx 10mm narrower, and slightly taller. So it is not excessively large and substantially smaller than the new Skoda Superb/Volkswagon Passat.

      They can be whatever they want to be…. But if you haven’t had a pay increase for years, the government is taxing you out of existence and insurance is up 200% in three years….. Then new cars can sit in the showroom… No matter their bargain price.

      @@mikadavies660cars, especially electric cars are for companies and for the wealthy, cars have always been expensive, I didn’t even earn £45k before tax, (I didn’t even pay that much for my house), I like the EV6, but I will never be able to afford one in my lifetime, and all the technology, all the more to go wrong, I suppose, because I’m old, I prefer proper clocks for display, radio, heaters with proper controls not an overcomplicated screen, basically a bigger mobile phone display yet it’s illegal to use a phone, doesn’t make sense

      There is only one reason to avoid the pre facelift model: the faulty ICCU that is quite common can be a pain in the behind.

    3. @aldozilli1293 Avatar
      @aldozilli1293

      @@vgstbyes it’s funny you never hear any journalists mention these issues. Same with Ioniq 5. He even says they have amazing reliability. Kia and Hyundai clearly pay off these journalists to be nice. I had a Model 3 then got an Ioniq 5 for’t wife and Ev6 GT for me. The Tesla is far behind in general quality and warranty. However I had no end of issues with the 12V going dead (ICCU issue?) in the Ioniq leaving us stranded several times. Also the app, interfaces are far better in the Tesla. I’m glad Kia have sorted the wireless car play, this is a small but important change. Tbf, the EV6 and Ioniq 5 are much more comfortable than the model 3, the seat designer is a genius.

      @@aldozilli1293I got the EV6 GT earlier this year and no major issues yet, knock on wood. I took it in for that recall on the ICCU and luckily it was just a software update only. I slow charge my car overnight and haven’t really have to deal with any heating issues. I haven’t tried 11kW for a long period cause I’m too busy hitting that green button. 😅

    I’m sick to death of meeting the morons that buy these huge vehicles down narrow track roads. I know it’s a generalisation but most of the drivers are clueless. They don’t or can’t do reversing and in the example EV6 in the video does not have a decent back window but probably has a camera that gets covered in shyte that also can’t see. The UK is not designed for large vehicles be it SUV’s, modern tractors and other vehicles. Back in the 1980s the Ford Granada was considered a large car. Park it next to most modern cars today and it looks small. The UK is not USA we need to bring back smaller cars.
