And yet another “SUV” which looks almost identical to every other “SUV”.

MG should work on an AWD version of the S9 PHEV (the AWD version is available in other markets in 2.0 form, and goes under a different name (RX9 in the Middle East and QS in Australia)).

To be honest it looks quite nice but it’s an MG

i hate that only 5008 has 3 seats in the back. Every other manufacturer makes a bump of the middle seat and cup holders inside, meaning they never meant for 3 peaople to drive and enjoy in long run. Kids fighting who will be punished to sit in the middle. Mind blowing oversight of EVERY manufacturer out there.

Not the new 3008. that’s a conventional style bench in the second row.

@hmi1750 i said 5008 and was talking about 7 seaters. You would think that people who buy 7 seaters would like to drive a lot of people.

Not having iso fix on the rear most seats is a daft oversight.
They are ideal for small children who can climb into them, and keep all there stuff out of the ‘ cabin” but no iso fix will be a deal breaker for lots of parents looking for smart solutions to everyday problems.

I love the luxury and powertrain of Chery Tiggo 9.
I love the interior and powertrain of BYD Sealion 8.
I love the amount of space and trust MG the most than other two.

Now be smart and pick one…

Which plug-in hybrid 7-seater would you choose?

    – MG S9: Save £10k and get that huge EV range 💰
    – Hyundai Santa Fe: For the extra space and better drive 💎
    – Chery Tiggo 8: Even cheaper than the MGS9! 📉

What’s is the big thing about a “soft dash” it’s not like we get in cars on ordinary day and press the dash driving

Anyone else think the background music sounds like the intro music for a certain seven-letter website?

MG should rething their naming scheme a bit, cause it’s pretty all over the place.
I mean, HS should be like an MG S7. ZS should be like an MG S5. And something smaller than ZS, the SUV equivalent to the MG3, should be called MG S3.
S being SUV. And the MG number, being a non SUV car.
Also, too bad they don’t offer many of the options from the S9 in the HS. At least as an extra trim. I would love some Bose speakers, ventilated seats and the rear bench in HS to be slideable, in order to make the boot a bit bigger when you need it since the rear legroom in the HS is huge.
Anyways, hope these updates will come to the HS also in the coming year or two, because it is a nice car and lacks a few goodies that would make it close to perfect.

Is it just me seeing two completely different colors on the hood and the bumper?

Came out of a Merc A250e PHEV into an MG HS PHEV Trophy and have been very impressed. Bigger electric range, heater warms up more quickly and a lot of space. Set the screen background to black by the way and its much easier to read

It’s definitely luxury on the budget, MG here in Europe is getting a lot of people in because of the history of the nameplate.
