The “Imodium 9”? Is it a competitor to the Laxative RZ? And, off course if neither are effective you may need to resort to the Cupra Gaviscon.

Rennie is an indigestion tablet brand, and a play on Renault.

Omoda 9 looks decent as second car along side an EV. But all these new manufacturers should follow the 10 year warranty from Toyota/lexus where you take the dealer services, that would convince me to take the leap of faith. Legacy auto with high prices and 3yr warranty at this point is such a hard sell.

PS sounds like the i3 is now your classic car, not sure it will still work in 30 years though!

I passed a VW Buzz on Friday, it was brick orange-brown & white. It looked like they’d run out of white paint and had to be one of the ugliest paint colours I’ve seen. But not as bad as Kia’s free paint ‘Sunset Orange’ on the EV3; which is actually unwashed-unpeeled heritage carrot.

100 Clubcard points gives you £1 to spend in-store or £2 to use with Reward Partners. At 1pt. per £1- = drop in the ocean.

I’m the same with my old Peugeot Estate, alongside my E208: Cant get rid, its fully depreciated and only pay £20 a month to insure it so apart from £14/mth to tax it, only put 20 quids worth of diesel in it and use it for trips to the tip and occasional runs to the shops. No point in getting it gone until it fails an MOT (£60 a year) then it will get scrapped. Only put a light bulb in it in the past two years. Use the E208 for commuting and regular driving…. Not an `electro-evangelist` by any means.
…But have taken advantage of Tesco clubcards in last week. Worth about 5p a week. Still better than nothing, mind. In total save around £5 on my weekly shop, currently, no matter which car I use. My saving on `farm diesel` is far more significant, coff, coff! (But my E208 charges for nothing overnight on my tariff).

Another suggestion for Steve, and a car already mentioned, the Nissan Ariya, but go with the 87kWh battery, front wheel drive version.

Skoda really should build that new Favorit at a competitive price, and without all the un-necessary electronic extras.

@@matthewtyler-jones8317 Tha’s where NCAPs ratings fall down – Most if not all of the ‘Active’ safety systems (Lane keep assist/AEB/Adaptive Cruise Control for example) can be turned off by the driver. There should be 2 ratings for all cars – one with tall the Active safery disabled , concentrating on occupant protection ( Seat belts/Airbags, Body strength, post crash access (Can doors open easily) and impact absorbing structures. ABS /traction control belongs here too. This rating sits along with the current rating.

Guys with regards to the Tesla App and none Tesla,s. I drive a Skoda Elroq 85. I recently drove from Bradford in Yorkshire to Rouen in France, ONLY using Tesla super chargers. I down loaded the Tesla app and put in open to all chargers. The 2 problems I found was you can’t route plan in the app. So I had to find Tesla chargers along my Google map route. No2 When you find the charger in the app, you looked at the postcode on the charger on enter that into Google maps and every time the chargers were always 1/2 mile away, annoying but it worked for me I charged 6 times over 2 long days. On a different note, on my way home I charged at Tesla supercharger Calais, I topped up to 98% and made it home without having to stop, 10% remaining.
Keep up the good work, Chris

    You’re welcome Mike!

I think Favorite would be a good name for Skoda’s version of the ID.1, but didn’t VW say Skoda/Cupra/SEAT wouldn’t get access to that platform? Perhaps this is a ploy to apply pressure to VW!

If you put your car into the Tesla app settings, it knocks out all the Tesla locations you can’t use and any shows the ones you can

Batch, Thank you for the enthusiastic read of my comment from last weeks podcast, I was laughing as you read it out and i certainly didn’t mean to put Mike down in anyway.. I’ll blame his poor Ioniq efficiency on his digital mirrors. 🤣
Regarding open to all Tesla chargers. I’ve always used the app to find them as inevitably you need the app to sart the charge, I haven’t used one since getting my Ioniq 5, the thought of a load of Tesla drivers chasing me down the road (Benny Hill style) with pitchforks is not worth the agro.
Let me just say the 320 mile claimed range has not been tried….. But, I have driven 245 miles with 70 left on the GOM, so still 315 miles if i push it (which i won’t). I do travel at an indicated 67mph on the motorways, as Vicky says enough to get past HGV’s but not fast enough to get caught up in the 70mph 70.1mph battle that ends up with you swapping lanes every 100 yards.

Thanks for the video, always our favorite YT program of the week.
    About those trips over 300mls. . . .
In the 1980th, we did some VERY long travels, from Netherlands to the VAN lake in Turkey and back, with a car, (over 800km).
Only stopping for diesel while our son was sleeping in the back of the Landcruiser.
We learned that it was way more relaxed and comfortable to stop after every 2.5 to 3 hours.
We are in our 70th now, and always stop after 2.5 hours for some coffee/food (and charging now) etc.
Before we finnish the food, the battery is over 80% and we can do the next 2,5 hours.
EV’s fit perfectly in our way of traveling. We use the Tesla app and mostly charge at Tesla . . .with our Dongfeng BOX 🙂

I read that the VW ID.2 is the first car to be launched in showrooms on the same day it goes into the car museum. 😂

I have no idea why VW is taking soooooooi long to launch this car, it feels too little too late. We have the Inster, the R5, we have the R4, EC3, Fiat e500 & panda and so on. They really need to create something special, good interior quality, decent range and at an affordable price.

I hope I am wrong, but I don’t think the ID.2 will deliver. I am still holding out before I buy an EV and I pray it is better than its rivals. A proper people’s car

Tesco clubcard points are worth 1p when spent in the shop. So a 1% bonus on the electricity. This is better than Tesco petrol, which only gives 1 clubcard for £3 of petrol. The main benefit for loyalty cards like Tesco clubcards at present is reduced prices on many items arounthe shop.

The reason that the viewer wants to do the 280 miles without charging is not to avoid stopping but to avoid the high price of public charging regularly.

We have a 2024 Ioniq 5, and get 230 miles in winter even in Cornwall. Motorway at 72 indicated gives 230 miles in winter, and 260 miles in summer.
