Meet the brand & S5!

Now there's one big change we need to address right off the bat – the brand-new & S5 are available as either a saloon or estate, and they've replaced the A4 & S4!

Why the change? Well as moves towards launching more electric-powered , it's changed its naming conventions. All odd-numbered cars and trucks (i.e. A3, & A7) will include internal combustion engines, while all even-numbered automobiles (i.e. A4 & A6) will just be offered as all-electric cars.

So the big news here is that the brand-new A5 & S5 will both be readily available as ICE automobiles! The variety starts with a 2-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine, which will be able to produce 150hp or 204hp, depending on which setup you choose. There will also be a 2-litre diesel readily available that features mild hybrid tech consisted of, which can also produce 204hp.

If you're looking for a bit more power, you'll wish to choose the new S5! It's powered by a 3-litre V6 turbo in addition to having mild hybrid tech included, and this will be able to produce 367hp while likewise propelling you to 62mph in simply 4.5 seconds.

In terms of the style, both the saloon & estate look great. In advance, has minimized the size of the grille and boosted the size of the air consumption both listed below and to the side of it, and there's a set of slim & smart OLED headlights on either side. Along the side you'll discover smart electronic door handles, and around the back there's a new protruding light bar style as well as a set of genuine quad tailpipes!

Step within and the design is fantastic. There's a substantial curved digital dial and infotainment screen, and there's even a second screen simply for the traveler! It looks like most of the performance is managed through the infotainment screen, but then that's no different to current Audis and we didn't have many grievances there! All in all, it looks like the new A5 & S5 will be a fantastic location to be for a long drive!

The A5 variety starts from around ₤ 42,000, rising up to ₤ 68,000 for the S5. So is it worth it? Stick with Mat and see on your own!

While i hate the move it makes sense for Audi. The A5 and A7 name are fairly New, compared to the A4 and A6, b9th names with a lot of heritage behind them. For enthusiasts it makes no sense throwing away the heritage models and keeping the new ones, but Audi wanting to sell EVs, it makes sense for them to keep the heritage names for EVs. Still dont like it. When I hear A4 I will forever think of cars like the amazing B5 and not of toasters like the upcoming A4 EV.

Glad I have an amazing 5pot engine in my RS3 instead of some boring electric thingy.
