BMW designers: “Ah yes, the 3 Series. Everyone loves it. Let’s change that.”

Stupid Nathan: I don’t want change. How can I tell BMW that I don’t want change. I don’t know. Maybe you can use a fax machine.

It’s no wonder BMW M Performance, Audi RS and Mercedes AMG guys jumped ship to join Xiaomi to get it ready for Europe before it comes and kills off this ugly 3 series

The electric and ice car have slightly different dimensions . The ice car has a longer bonnet but marginally smaller cabin for example

ICE car is essentially a reskinned version of the previous gen. The electric version seems better proportioned.

For the uninitiated, the 3 series and the i3 aren’t the ‘exact’ same. Two different platforms and proportions.

Well, BMW is merging them slowly. Eventually it will only be the electric version thanks to Chinese manufacturing standards being adopted by BMW.

Yep. Dan Jones , Senior Reviewer cannot get the basic facts right. Even Auto Express managed that. What Car please put Will on the video reviews and leave this comedian to do the written reviews.

Silly to say it would be better to have the Audi hatchback boot – the Series 3 will never be designed as a hatchback and anyone looking at them knows they are not.

It doesn’t share any sheet metal or glass with the electric version. Completely different car.

Might need a pair of glasses mate. I don’t know if it’s safe for you to drive if you can’t tell that these two cars have different proportions 🤓

Great review of a beautiful car ❤ When BMW introduced new cars everybody hated them. Now most of them already love it. But the design is more true to BMW than most of the predecessors. Haters gonna hate of course.

    2. @macboyip Avatar
      @macboyip

@MrFoible of course not. But I am sure you know what I mean when I say this? It refers to people screaming “this is the ugliest BMW ever”. Instead of people knowing themselves and knowing you need to get used to things and could also say: “I am not getting it yet”. You chose the camp you are in. I refered to the real haters.

You’re misinforming your viewers. The electric model, and petrol model, are built on entirely different platforms. They are not the same car! There’s a longer front wheel arch section and there are other differences too. Do your homework! And dress better too for that matter.

How does the four spoke steering wheel confuse people? The BMW badge will be upside down if the steering wheel is off centre

I like the styling of the Neue Klasse cars alot. Keeps traditional proportions but the detailing is modern and bang up to date. Seems to be Marmite, judging by the other comments here.

In a long time new BMW model that would go and buy on the exterior design alone, both regular 3 Series and i3 look great, especially that in red 👌👌
And we already know that the Neue Klase EV platform is amazing – range, charging, power, efficiency,… package that gives me hope the electric M3 will bring back the BMW 3 as a ULTIMATE DRIVING MACHINE! Looks like that the M350 xDrive is a drivers car as BMW should be?
Great video can’t wait for comparison test against the new C-Class!
