Chapter names are wrong (EV2 and Renault 4 for some reason).

Imagine criticising Nicola for missing off the EV3 range but the editor not spotting the chapter names… these are the details that make Electrifying so relatable! 😄

98 almost 99% of new cars registered in Norway in August were electric, well done Norway!

Yes, Norway really is showing the way with electric cars.

@JjaysYoutube Haha. No worries. I’m slightly dyslexic. When I was in infants/junior school, I couldn’t pronounce the word _”that.”_
Same confusion applies to there, their and they’re. But it can be overcome with graft. I’m in my 60’s now so when I see these simple errors, it really stands out. 😊👍

The part of the South East where I live isn’t anywhere near as pretty as Norway but the roads are generally slow and these days enforced by lots of cameras so a performance car is equally pointless here. The irony of driving these days is that cars are faster than ever but you just can’t use the power. I think a nice looking car that’s smooth and comfortable is the kind of thing I like these days.

What interests me about them is getting awd options the performance and noise are ok to have. The performance is nice for the ego and the noises are a 5 minute play and ignore. The weight feels high my ev6 rwd is under 2 tons.

Drove my ev6 to the artic circle in Norway from Scotland, liked it so much came back and drove to Nordkap.

You were in Hustadvika/Atlanterhavsveien, just watched the Norwegian review. VGS is still phony and stupid, you get a worse car for noise and fake gear shifts. Fantastic cars, though, all of them, but I wish Kia had figured out less soul crushing, less grey interiors.

Is there any choice of interior colors, or are they all dreary dark?

GTs are always a dark cave. If you want the light interior, opt for the normal AWD versions based on GT Line. May not be available in all markets yet.

Norway’s speed limit sound like they gunning for the same data-led reduction in road casualties as here in Wales? Another country with gorgeous, twisty, mountain and forest roads… and very high rates of car fatalities as a consequence. The new reductions in all speed limits, famously including all the 20mph sections, and installation of a LOT of Average Speed Check Cameras. I love to wind my way along, as Nicola clearly does too! But looking at the data, you can see why they control the speeds so much. The data shows it works. Alas, safety isn’t fun 🙁

Data from Wales’ reducing speed limits:
    – 630 (26%) fewer casualties in the first twelve months of the 20mph speed limit compared to the previous year, including 80 fewer fatal or serious injuries.
    – Lower than expected vehicle damage claims have led to a reduction in premiums for Welsh drivers by esure Insurance Group.
    – The reduction in casualties on 20/30mph roads is consistent across all four annual quarters, with a range of 18% to 32% reduction.

This was a fun review! The last scene, with the 3 cars, was perhaps a missed opportunity ? You could have lined up the cars nose to the wall and provide a very good visual of the relative size of the cars by seeing how long their boots stick out?

When Nicola mentioned on the Kilowatt Half Hour that she had driven three new Kia’s I thought there was an EV1, EV7 and EV8. Instead it’s three existing models with added brum-brum noises. Triffic.

KIA knows how to choose location for first drives 😊😅 Norway is just stunning.
As for KIA giving us these three versions of AWD GTs is good, but even better would be giving EV3 and EV5 them being SUVs a WKNDR overland concept rework 🤟🤟😍 As for EV4 is great platform for GT treatment being a hatchback, would actually love to see KIA lean even more in to making EV4 GT a proper hothatch direct electric competition for something like VW Golf R, Honda Type R, Toyota GR Corolla,… Nicola great video, and I know we are all waiting for Hyundai N division to gets it’s hands on Ioniq 3 giving us proper i20N successor ⚡⚡⚡👏👏👏👏💪
