U.S. Tourism is Having Its WORST Summer EVER. Will it Recover?

The post takes a look at the profound financial and social consequences of a worldwide tourism boycott targeting the United States, driven by frustration with former President Donald Trump's policies. Focusing on Canadian point of views, it highlights how aggravation with Trump's management has led to a substantial decrease in U.S. tourism, with a reported 61% drop impacting industries like hospitality and retail. American voices, including congressional prospect Doug Hunan, highlight the crisis, associating it to Trump's trade wars and anti-immigration rhetoric, which have made the U.S. less inviting. Hunan's project intends to restore America's worldwide appeal and restore jobs in tourism-dependent cities like Las Vegas and Miami. The short article points out incredible figures: Canadian tourists contributed $20 billion to the U.S. economy in 2024, supporting 140,000 tasks, however many are now rerouting substantial travel spending plans– approximately $100,000 per journey– somewhere else. Other price quotes suggest a prospective $29 billion loss in 2025, with 36% of prepared Canadian trips canceled, though some disagreement the reported 70% drop in bookings. The boycott extends beyond Canada, with Europe and other areas joining, signifying an international rejection of U.S. policies. Air Canada's reduction of U.S. flights reflects this shift, as demand plummets. While some Americans dismiss the boycott as short-lived, the absence of a summer tourist rebound in 2025 suggests deeper obstacles. The post likewise explores the moral position behind the boycott, with many tourists standing against dissentious policies. As winter methods, destinations like Florida face unpredictability without Canadian "snowbirds." The narrative underscores the interplay of politics and economics, highlighting how global perceptions can reshape a country's economy and identity, without any instant recovery in sight.

Canada will visit the US when your elected President is no longer in the Whitehouse. The US leader’s statement about Canada becoming the 51st state is insulting. Tariffs and the exchange rate are not the reason. Canadians travel to other countries except the US. Did Trump Make America Great Again?

Here in Canada we choose not to go and support a country that says it’s our friend. You are not! Your bullying and threats will not be forgotten! America, except things to get alot worse. The world is just getting started!

Across Europe, people are doing their bit and boycotting the USA for similar reasons (hatred and contempt for a neo-fascist idiot in the White House). At some point. give our efforts to encourage change and the USA’s recovery of its senses. Hello from the UK (where we feel a strong bond with Canada).

I cancelled my Business trip in March and Vacation to the USA, not only the disrespect the current administration has for Canada but for my own travel safety, I am not one that wants to have an all expenses paid vacation in their ICE detention centres, no thank you!

Vegas is ridiculously expensive, which explains the more than 11% drop in tourism.
Canada….works both ways – I’m sure there are a lot less Americans visiting Canada.

Actually the light bulb was invented first by two Caanadians and patented it. Than Thomas Edison bought their patent.
