Jeff Bezos SHOCKED as Amazon’s $20K Truck PREORDERS Just EXPLODED!

The Slate Truck, backed by Amazon, is an advanced $20,000 electrical pickup that's set to disrupt the automobile market. Priced less than half of Tesla's Cybertruck, it challenges overpriced rivals like Ford's F-150 Lightning and Rivian's R1T by stripping away unnecessary functions like power windows, touchscreens, and ambient lighting, which pump up expenses without adding worth. Constructed on the innovative Slateboard chassis, it's lighter, more powerful, and more affordable to produce, leveraging Amazon's supply chain to remove dealership markups and save millions in production. With 201 horse power, a 150-240 mile variety, and quickly charging in under thirty minutes, it fulfills real-world requirements for 95% of motorists. Its modular style changes it from a pickup to a 5-seat SUV or fastback crossover in an afternoon, providing unrivaled adaptability. The interior uses a mobile phone mount and adjustable "Slatelets" for boundless setups, motivating owners to personalize with fundamental tools. Security functions like eight air bags and automatic emergency situation braking come requirement, focusing on function over tricks. Set for production in late 2026, Slate aims to develop 150,000 trucks each year, creating U.S. tasks and slashing carbon emissions. This isn't simply a truck– it's a platform that evolves, exposing the vehicle industry's bloated pricing and planned obsolescence. For a $50 deposit, reserve your spot in a transportation revolution that prioritizes price, availability, and functionality.

when you start adding little things, they consider optional, like head lights, a front or rear bumper or doors, the price goes up and up and up

Dodge RAM, Ford series, Chevy, and other trucks have been the go to for many contractors. And, the Tesla Cybertruck is a huge loss.

I’ll be interested to see how this vehicle sells, as well as the buyers.

I’m feeling good about this one. I dragged my feet for weeks before pre-ordering. I wish I did it sooner. It might be my first brand new vehicle purchase

I’d have one of these over any Tesla.

Unfortunately I live in the uk.

So…..even if it gets built in RHD for our roads I expect it will cost way more than in the USA.

If you want a short haul pickup truck that you can go shopping in too there it is.

I live in a rural town, not a city, and small pick up vehicles have always been popular with people here.

They have for decades, hence vehicles like the original Land Rover, Austin Morris woody and other open bed small trucks of various makes built over decades.

Ford even made a Sierra pickup truck P200 which was very popular with self employed people like plumbers.

This thing even looks like a utility vehicle that can be built around your needs at a very good price.

    Thumbs up from me.

I saw a you tube walk thru of this truck and its super cool – affordable and parts are common off the shelf so if you bust something up its not that bad. I want one when they land here in Europe – its perfect for where i live

The Ford Maverick is the hybrid version of this concept and it did really well. People of sick of paying close to 70k for features that add no value but loads of cost. This is a great concept and the ability to customize will make people excited about their vehicles – something that has been in steep decline.

This reminds me of the 80’s when the cost of gas created a push for vehicles that were affordable to drive.
This may be the market disruption we need.
Next… finding a way to make building houses affordable.

If this is successful, it could start a trend of CHEAP cars, without all the crap that cars have now, bloating the cars with servos and everything increasing prices beyond that interest of people to buy.
Just check out the new Chinese cars coming, full of gimmicks that nobody really wants.
